Can the C.J. Miles experiment please end?

Did you watch the game? That block and back to back assists were part of the 10-2 or something run that ended this game.

Also I never said he won the game I said that block changed the momentum and essentially ended the game. Reading is fundamental. Shooting is not the end all be all of basketball.

CJ was a major contributor and was again in for both Jazz runs in this game. He was in for the 2nd quarter run that gave them a 10 point cushion and was in and very instrumental in the 4th quarter run that put this game out of reach.

In the 2nd quarter it was nice to see the 2nd unit dominate the Hornets bench and they did it with CJ not needing to contribute points. He played good defense, like is his norm this year, and stayed within the offense while the rest of the subs took the Hornets apart.

Rambling endless non-sense from the biggest Clank the Clowner of all. On the unusual nights with the clown gets lucky and makes some shots, he's the greatest shooter of all time. Otherwise "one blocked shot "changed the momentum and essentially ended the game." If only you knew how ridiculous that is. No offense though Bonkers, you are a loyal supporter no matter what. Happy Thanksgiving.

CJ played great D last night despite his shots not falling, team leading +22. We would not have seen that in previous years. He is also having career highs in rebounds, blocks, steals, and assists (tied).

Your the only person with the balls to say he did not play well. That's telling.

Your a hater and that I have a hard time respecting an opinion by a hater. You see only the bad things he does. I at least admit when he is shooting bad. You were in here hating even while he was carrying this team to a win.

CJ did not have a good game shooting. But what DID impress me (and remember I've been a CJ doubter from Day 1) is that Miles didn't let it affect his effort on the defensive end. He had that great block; he was hustling up and down the floor, and the entire second unit played very good defense, CJ included. Miles ain't gonna shoot 8-13 every night. Not even elite shooting guards are going to hit 60%! Miles was clearly off, but he only took half the shots he had in the previous 2 games. I'd have to rewatch the game to see if he passed up some open looks. But maybe he recognized he was not shooting well and limited his shooting.

He at least passed up the 2 on his assists. He very easily could have shot both of those but moved the ball to a more open shot. The one to Jefferson was very nice. The 2nd for DWill's 3 pointer he had a good look as well but passed it around the perimeter to Deron who was wide open.

It doesn't matter how well they shoot it matters there effieciency on the court. As long as helped the team how can you criticize him. You must not be a jazz fan if you don't like players that help them.

+24, bitch.

Clank the Clown was 0 for 4 from 3, and 2 for 7 over all with a grand total of 2 assists in 20 minutes. So according to Bonkers, Clank won the game for the jazz. Bonkers you crack me up. Endless non-sense.

+24, bitch.

Wow, this really is fun.

Wow @ rainhut .... wtf is your problem?

CJ's block last night was a spectacular defensive play. He is one of the most important players to the Jazz's success this year.

CJ dominates.

I think the issue with CJ will not be "fixed" simply by giving him more time. He has had time. How long does he need. He has played semi-solid minutes for over 2 seasons and for all the flashes of talent he shows, he still can't put it together. I think his problem is 2-fold. 1) He is just plain soft. He gets upset when he gets jeered a little, if his shot isn't falling, if he gets looked at the wrong way. The kid is just soft. He is too easily affected by the negative and let's it affect his play...and 2) He has no basketball IQ. For a long time I thought "at least he is pretty smart with the ball, at least he somewhat understands the game" and that kept me semi-ok with the CJ experiment, but now I see that is not the case. Sure he tried to do other things on the court when his shot wasn't falling, but so often what he does seems forced and out of context, on offense and defense at times. After this long in this system shouldn't he be teaching it to other players? Instead all too often he still looks like he is trying to figure out what we are doing. Some of it comes easier for him now, but if he is on a 10% per year learning curve he will never even be a regular role player let alone an all-star.

As was stated, there are few options. We let pieces go that were better options than CJ and like many I still do not know why. I guess Sloan and Deron see something I do not (and many others do not as well), and while I will defer to their professional opinion and hope they know what they are doing, I am concerned they are suffering from their own brand of homer-ism that will keep us from making moves to improve at that position.

My hope is they are putting something together for a nice mid-season trade to get us some help on the wing. Think Portland would trade Mathews for CJ straight up?
