What's new

Can the Trumpster fire come back from this?

We dunno if he did or didn't though.. I mean when you're hanging out with a group of guys, you talk ****, whether it's true or not.

I mean we've all done it.

I think most men have talked about women in a less than respectful manner, particularly when we were maybe 14 - married. This dude was almost in his 60s, talked about being a homewrecker, talked about potential sexual assault, and then mentioned his poor wife to another woman not thirty seconds later (i.e., we are to assume that this was all going on without any regard to his wife).

In general though, I still don't think these comments are his worst by any means. They were probably the most graphic though.

I dunno I feel like some people are going to find Trump's comments 'refreshingly honest' irregardless of the content.

I for one am just so sick and tired of politicians who hide behind 'words' and we never really know what they mean when they say what they say. It just frustrates me.

Again, I don't have a horse in this race, just pointing out what I see.

The whole thing is the assault angle where he is talking about forcing himself onto women who don't even want it because he is famous and bragging about it.

Yeah you might around your boys and brag about nailing some girl and not talk about her in the most respectful manner, but you aren't talking about what sounds like sexual assault.

Bill cheated, no doubt about it. But him getting a ******* from Monica was consensual. Grabbing women in the ***** is nothing less than sexual assault. Anyone who has a wife, daughter, or any shred of human decency should distance themselves from this monster.

True. That part about ***** was too graphic.

Yeah and it makes me wonder what a Trump female supporter makes of this revelation? Are they still going to vote for him?

If moral values where a basis for your vote I dont think you would be supporting Trump up to this point.

Well but was it an actual assault though? If there was, we would have heard about it and Trump would be as good as gone.

Game Over.

From the way he describes it that is what it sounds like. The pressure of his wealth and fame might intimidate the women from reporting rape or molestation, which is kind of what he is bragging about.

In this world it's also a funny line to get a laugh from some dudes.

I agree with your assessment for sure. I think pretty much everyone in the world wants our politicians to be straight with us, take responsibility, and show character in general. The problem with Trump is that he's the worst of them all, and just because his words aren't polished and actually quite shocking, many take this for honesty.

In actuality, he'll say whatever he wants to get whatever he wants. His dishonesty in this election is documented by fact checkers to be the highest of any politician ever, to the best of my knowledge, and yet, "He says it like it is," "He's a straight shooter," and "He'll speak his mind, and not worry about the consequences." His mindless comments are so easily assumed to be those of someone who is simply speaking the truth, but in actuality, the unpolished nature of his words have never had any bearing on their truthfulness. I think you get that, but many of his supporters haven't, that's for sure.

The fake outrage by everyone is hilarious.

Trump didn't really have a realistic path to the presidency before, and let's hope this seals the deal.

This won't harm Trump at all. His backers know exactly who he is and don't care about any of his gaffs or "shortcomings." If they were making their decision to support this man on policy and competence, Trump would have never even become the Republican candidate. This news surprises no one on either side. I actually think his comments about 2nd amendment people etc. are way worse than this. Trump can literally say and do anything, and it has little effect on his success. Any other candidate in the history of our country would have been buried months ago.

I don't think so. This is going to bury him with women, though it wasn't like he was doing all that good to begin with there.

So can somebody please tell me why this is only coming to light just mere weeks away from the election? I mean it happened in 2005 right?

My take is this is Hillary's trump card (punn intended) she's been saving to play right at the last minute.
It's not a bad one. Trump's mouth is the gift that keeps on giving.

Trump has been a public figure for DECADES. We already knew he was a sleazy piece of ****. A bunch of fraternity-style "jokes" change nothing. Those who endorsed him as an acceptable representative of the United States to the rest of the world know no shame. Yet, fearing for their own political careers, they are now in full damage control mode. **** them. Reap what you sow, assholes. I hope the backlash over this non-story (given what we know about the man) is momentous. If only for the entertainment value.

He did apologize for it.

Not really:

"Finally: "If anyone was offended"? A 7-year-old could explain to you why starting an apology with "If you're offended..." isn't really an apology. Instead, it's an accusation: You shouldn't be offended, but I'm sorry that you've allowed yourself to be in this scenario. I don't want your blame and I didn't want to offend you, so I'm not really sorry for anything I've done — just your reaction to it."
