What's new

CARLOS Boozer

1. We won't be in the same salary crunch in 3 years as we were this past offseason. If Al warrants a max deal it will be much easier to do so.
2. Nobody knows what's going to happen with max contracts. It's very possible they'll be much smaller by the time Al is a FA.

True, but if they do drop, the Tax level will drop as well.

The only reason they want to drop the salaries to so that teams like Minnesota and Sacramento can actually afford to pay for a Marquee player.

Why is this discussion still going? Boozer is the best player to ever live. Yet, the Jazz never went anywhere with him on the team, and it was time to move on to a lesser player and maybe they'll magically do better (as the record clearly shows). Can we move on already?

Because this is the official cheer thread for every time the Chicago Jazz help our seeding.

boozer is like the ex-girlfriend you want to see fail. That being said, it's good to see him playing agressive and actually doing something out there.

1. We won't be in the same salary crunch in 3 years as we were this past offseason. If Al warrants a max deal it will be much easier to do so because we won't have an albatross AK on the books. We won't have Okur either.

McFly is pwning this thread.

Steals > Blocks in a statistical sense.

Maybe in a statistical sense. But blocks have a bigger impact on the game. Getting a block gets it into the mindset of the offensive man the next time he brings it in and for a while during the game. A steal can be written off as a bad play by the man who gets it stolen from him.

You realize we are in the same situation with Al? He will come off his contract at 28 looking for a 5 year close to max deal like Boozer got.

....we will cut big Al loose so fast....your head will spin! We ain't maxin out a guy who although talented in some respects, can't figure out how to run a simple pick and roll with a guy who makes it easier than taste testing pies in a pie factory! Oh, I forgot! When Al's contract is up....the long NBA strike will be over....and these guys will be making less than half what they are getting paid now!!!

And the tax will drop as well. Salary drop is irrelevant.
