In what sense? Cramped engine bays? Or just lemons?
Lot of them have problems, particularly the ML

They are so different in the way they are put together from most other brands. Lots of special service tools required. Lots of staring at them scratching your head thinking "why would they do it this way". I'm sure a lot of it is me just not having a ton of experience with them, but they still suck to work on. They were designed with very little consideration for needing service in the future. They are great cars, very well built, just a pain to diagnose and repair.

Man, I take my dad for granted.
He jacked up the car & replaced a melted pulley in the engine bay at like noon on the side of the highway. He's a self-taught whiz with cars. Will always blow my ****ing mind. We've never taken a car to the mechanic in (almost) 20 years of living in Canada.

My mom drives that car, but in silver.
learn what you can from him, it's a great skill to have. lots of shops tend to overcharge for imports.
Cant believe you let go of a 60s Cougar. They damn sure dont make the same anymore.
Question: My neighbour has a '74 Javelin AMX chilling in his garage just wasting away, and hasnt really done anything with it. Do you know much about the car, and would it be cool to attempt to restore one? It seems like its in pretty good condition already.
My ride has a skid plate (off-road package) that is a bitch to get offPeople don't know how to change oil? Geez. Put a drip pan under, remove the plug, let it drain, plug back in, fill with new oil. Simple. Then check your fluids and filters.
And if you're a man and can't change a tire, your entire existence is a joke.
