I am working on a project truck. I have the frame from a 79 chevy pickup, I am going to box the frame so it is stronger, and rebuild the front and rear end. I am rebuilding a 5.9 liter cummins turbo diesel motor to put on it, and an Allison smart transmission/transfer case. I will put disc brakes on all four wheels, and modern steering. Then I am putting a body from a 1972 chevy pickup on it when the guys are ready. I am really early in the project, just working on the frame right now. I will start the motor this fall.
