Central tank command : the official thread

You may have a point about lapses (saw some last night on defense) -- but Jordan also didn't play point guard in his youth. Watch the clips of young. His intensity developed as he matured. So, you may be right about the mature Jordan. No one play with more intensity.

What does playing PG have to do with defensive lapses. All positions can make them.

Does rookie Mitchell play with more intensity than rookie Jordan? Maybe. But we only have 30ish games to judge Mitchell by and a whole career to judge Jordan on.

He didn't take it out of context. You literally said and I quote "He plays with more intensity than Jordan and he seems tireless, as if he's playing within himself." Perhaps that is not what you mean but it is clearly what you said.

There's a lot more to consider when you're point guard, to learn.

In any case, sure I may be over-the-top with my views on Mitchell. But I'm an enthusiastic fan. Better than being a negative nanny.

And the lapse I was referencing was not when Mitchell was playing PG or defending one. His man was in the corner for a 3 and stationary. Mitchell ball watched and his man cut to the basket for an easy score. Had nothing to do with PG play. But I digress.

Either way Mitchell is a stud and I only referenced it to highlight the clear growth Mitchell will still have. His potential ceiling is insane.

Archie, you're not a very discriminating reader -- i.e., you take things out of context. I never said he is the next Jordan, just that he has a similar mindset. Look at some early Jordan and you will see, I think, less maturity than the present-day Mitchell. Jordan's drive pushed him as he matured and he became the assassin that made him so great.
Hmm.
Did EM say Mitchell plays with more intensity than Jordan? Yes.

Did AM say EM said Mitchell is the next Jordan? No.

You can't read worth ****.

Speaking of not knowing how to read...
