It was nice 30 years ago when we had free speech but after reading a newspaper article about Bush or Clinton or whatever we couldn't go to the comments section and start talking **** to each other. We still had free speech but we weren't free to do that yet.Personally, and I know many people will be against this idea cause free speech, I with that all social media (Twitter, truth social, Facebook, Instagram, tik tok, jazzfanz etc) would operate like the BYU message board.
You can't be a dick to the other users on there. It's very strict. And I, being what many people would consider a lefty, on a conservative website like that (the moderators are 100% conservative trump voters) love how censored it is. It's so nice and pleasant to just discuss stuff. You can disagree but you can't be a dick.
I'm sure that if that were to happen on all interactive media then people would be bigly mad at first. But I bet over time not having anyone be rude, profane, violent etc at you and you not being able to act that way to others... After a while most everyone would prefer the new, much kinder environment and wonder why we took so long to make the change.
Charlie Kirk would probably still be alive. Not as rich but still alive.
A man can dream.
We would watch the news and something would trigger us and piss us off and we might bitch to our friends family neighbors and co workers but we couldn't pick fights with billions of random people all over the world. Still had free speech though.
I miss that dynamic in society.
