Charlie Kirk shot at UVU event

Isn't this the whole point of the Second Amendment? The right of citizens to take up arms against tyranny? You'd think patriots would be orgasming over this.
It’s there to protect the first amendment as well. When it’s so dangerous to your deranged psychotic opinions that others aren’t allowed to speak, or are murdered for things they say, that’s how you know you have a serious problem. The left is so far gone and deranged their stance can’t stand up to the criticism and they are now acting and defending violence against peaceful debate. How dare Charlie Kirk talk to youth and encourage them to vote. Somebody stop him with violence!!!

I think we should have empathy for Charlie Kirk and his friends and family.
Charlie Kirk disagrees though.

“I think empathy is a made up New Age term that does a lot of damage” -Charlie Kirk

Where was the outrage when Rep. Melissa Hortman and her family were killed. Nothing from Donnie and his minions. So don't say we should all feel sorry for someone who spreads hate.

I really hope the trolls on this website refrain from making this completely 100 percent unavoidable sacrifice into something poltical. Charlie Kirk said this in 2023,
“I think it's worth it. I think it's worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights."

So while it’s sad that this happened today, but it is the daily sacrifice we must make in this country in order to preserve our god-given rights, no other country has these rights so they don’t have to sacrifice daily for them.

All we should be doing is hoping and praying. Oh and mental health. That’s important too. So today’s loss is unfortunate and so sad but it’s also, according to Charlie, COMPLETE NECESSARY. Just be grateful it was Charlie today and not one of your children. Cuz you never know when their time might be up to be offered as sacrifice in order to preserve our god given rights and the NRA’s profits.

Btw, this really is sad. Just like the assassination of those Minnesota politicians. Violence isn’t okay. But I do wish we could tone down the insensitive rhetoric before horrible events like these occur.

I'm really disturbed by this.

And I'm really disturbed by so many people being okay with it.

Political violence is gross and terrifying. If you were against what he was saying, fine, but if you think him being murdered is going to do any good whatsoever, you're extremely dumb.

That’s the mentally challenged response that seems to be prevalent here. Let’s just start justifying murdering those on the other side we disagree with! Does that sound like a productive path forward? Think about that…

I agree, this could be a horrible catalyst just like Red said. Think Archduke Ferdinand. But it happened and I'm not surprised. Trump created this 100%. And with the direction Trump is taking us mass violence is at our doorstep.

A dude that has a wife and 2 young children was publicly assassinated in front of thousands of people including little kids and all ages and people want to act like he deserved it. That is just sick! Charlie has strong opinions and stated them, but he isn't out there hurting anyone or even making them attend his events. If people don't agree, then don't attend and vote for people with different political views to him.

Actually he was hurting people. If you can't see that then you're part of the problem. Supporting Trump is traitorous to a free America, Jan 6 alone made it so. No tears from me at all, but I'm not in favor of him being assassinated because I think it will make things worse.

K well you could come out and condemn violence but instead you said that I voted for violence. Seems like you are justifying what happened today pretty clearly.
Im just saying this is the world people who voted for Trump, and for people who dont support gun control, voted for.

I would love to have gun control in America so people like Charlie Kirk can do his dumbass college tours without fear for their lives. I'm equally fearful that political commentators I like on the opposite side could also have this happen to them, so I'm not actively celebrating this act.

See the difference is I vote for a world where this kind of thing would be much harder to do, and you voted for one that has made it easier. So you can do this whole "make people do PC talk and if they dont I will act like a deranged liberal who is mad at speech" act, but I actively vote for an America where Charlie Kirk would still be alive.
