He can't shoot or dribble, but does play good defense. It's not enough in the NBA though. He's 26, would have showed something the last couple years if he was rotation material.

Only 26? Good players can play into there 40's. I think CJ has a good decade left in him look at what Diaw an JJ can do at there age. CJ has the talent to make any NBA team better.

I like CJs hustle but that will only get him so far.
Given Favors and Goberts injuries last season and wear and tear over the season- Id prefer we kept Withey keeps the wear and tear on Favs and Rudy down plus if either are injured we have a decent shot blocker to step up.

I wouldn't mind cutting either Mack or Neto and keeping CJ, although I think either pg has more trade value than CJ.

he's a 15th-man kind of guy. No doubt. But you just want a good locker room guy with hustle and heart. You can do worse than CJ. I'm not going to cry if he gets cut, but I'll root for him if he is able to stick.

I saw too many poor decisions and blown plays. Even against subpar competition. He is not on DMC's level. He always played smart, especially on D. CJ plays hard, not smart. He drove me crazy lasy year. I really hope he is cut. Withey is a much better 15 guy. Decent bigs are hard to find.

The good thing about the decision to keep CJ or not in relation to DMC'S improvement, is that Quin has experience with both. He knows better than anyone if CJ can make a similar jump or not.

I think a big factor in the decision is how fast Bolomboy develops. He seems to be progressing nicely when you consider how he played in summer league against lesser competition. Is he as good a defender as Withey right now, no, not even close. But I think he is as good a rebounder and he is a tremendous athlete. If the Jazz feel he'll be able to step up during the season, they may let Withey go.

If it was for spot minutes when we are healthy I'd have no problem just rolling Bolomboy out... witheys value is that if we have an injury he can step in and play 20 minutes a night and contribute.

I can't believe we are even discussing who should get cut. If we cut withey he'd get picked up in a second... when we cut CJ I don't think he makes a roster and is either in Europe or the d league. Denver just cut two guys I think I'd rather have than CJ.
