It is truly embarrassing to the legacy, and history of those countries. I mean, throughout the Middle East, various cultural groups like the Khaldians in Iraq, and catholics in countries like Lebanon were given equal rights (apart from paying a tax, for protectional reasons from the country's military) and have survived and prospered for millennia, despite living in countries where the majority of people are muslim. Seeing news reports like these are downright heartbreaking, and absolutely embarrassing. Way to reverse all sorts of progress that you've made. I would love to have a word with whoever created this absurd law in Iran.
