All for just $3.7 million per year, or approximately $100,000 per slot below 1st . . .So that means he's the 36th best player in the league.

That was sooooo last year, DJ. And before the 2010 playoffs, Miles had had less than 100 minutes of playoff time. Despite those on this board who ignorantly deny it, on-court experience matters in development.Pretty consistant? Did youy see how bad he played in the playoffs? also what is his shooting percentage like 35%?
No he wasn't. He was tough on D and that seems to have masked his shooting inconsistency (especially from 3).

Mathews and Harpring were far from consistent every night. .
He shot 48% for the season last year as a ROOKIE and 38% from the three. You dont get those averages if you are terribly inconsistent. And of course his defense was consistent too and that was a nice bonus as well. He didnt have frequent stretches where he'll go 10-12 one night and 1-9 the next two nights like Miles.
All the other Miles homers arguing that Wes Mathews was inconsistent too, should take a look at his numbers again in the regular season.
You're right. I wanted to delete that post shortly after making it. I looked for game logs yesterday, but could only find this season's. Matthews has been plenty consistent this year, especially after a month or so of a learning curve.
