This is what I meant by keeping the 3D letters but getting away with the circle. Only thing is where to place Utah but I thought it could be a good start.

Okay, I cleaned it up and made a couple of minor adjustments.

I love it.
Of course I love all the ones that you and hey hey have made.

The note combo with the mountains and that color scheme is really really growing on me

I don't think you should worry about mistakes that much. If you look at the image I uploaded in the op you'll see that it's actually pretty lazy. Color is more important than hiding blemishes.

Love the classic note. Just hope they don't go back to the classic colors (which I guess is just the purple instead of the blue...I like the blue a ton more).
