I think Burks might help in some games because he scores points throughout the game, but I don't think Alec moves the needle at all on our most pressing issue, our offense stagnates in the final minutes of close games. Yeah Alec can make something out of nothing, but so can Hayward/Hood. We need to actually execute, not just rely on great individual plays.

Do you follow him on twitter? He's a whiny complainer. Whenever I've had conversations with him he always left me wondering how he got a job covering basketball. He's a C average student who blames the teacher he doesn't get an A.
Jody Gennessy on the other hand is a stud. The definition of a good guy and a good reporter.

Exactly this. Look at OKC, their all-world superstar KD and Russ are miles better than Gordo and Hood, yet their set at the end is predictable and look at how many close games they lost. That's why when I hear people keep saying Burks is what need to win these close ones, I am afraid that won't change especially against top tier games in playoff.

I read his twitter stuff, yeah (and some of his articles on B-BallInsiders). He tries so I respect him. His problem is that he is a die hard fan trying to be a reporter. I'm pretty sure he only does it on the side as a passion hobby, but being a die-hard fan is something that is in direct conflict of being a great reporter.

The refs spotted us 4 pts and we still lost.

That bogus 3 pt foul which triggered a Doc tech was BS. As a jazz fan I loved it because it killed their mo and it helped us to trim their lead. But as a bball fan that foul call was terrible. One of the worst I've seen in some time.

That 3pt foul was not bogus. If you see a big mother****er coming to foul you and you go into a shooting motion, then it's a shooting foul. It was a great play by Mack. Something identical happened against the Jazz earlier in the season and a bunch of idiots here said it was BS, but it's legitimate. If the offensive player times it well enough and the defensive player is too mindless to react, then they deserve the FT's.

After that call though the refs proceeded to go into whistle swallowing mode. Refs seemed to be just as scared as the Jazz. I really want to see a replay of the Favors travel, seemed totally bogus to me.
