I like it. You have tons of great beaches (despite what some morons may say), great parks for hiking, walking, semi-mountainous terrain, are within an hour or so of both Philly and NYC if you live in the Central Jersey area, great schools (we typically rank in the top 5 in the nation in many if not most categories), Atlantic City for gambling, and weather that truly includes all four seasons if you like that.

It's expensive as **** though (in any good town not in South Jersey) as far as home ownership and taxes go and I'd be lying if I said I hadn't semi-considered moving elsewhere.

Wes summed it up perfectly. And while the property taxes are incredibly high, at least I get to see my money put to good use. The public school system in my town is probably better than most private school excellent, public services (cops, fire dept) are all run well. This of course becomes all the more important when you have kids - or at least one kid in my case.

Corpus Christi is an okay place to visit for a few days for the beach, but not the best place to live. It is about 60-70 degrees during the winter season though. I know you said in a previous post you said highly unlikely for Lubbock and I'm just warning ya...it's only good place if you're going to Texas Tech or in college. It doesn't offer anything outside of the "college life"

CC is where I was born. It's hot, but it doesn't have high humidity (or at least as high as most coastal cities) like other places. It's also extremely windy.

Otherwise, El Paso, Dallas, Houston, Waco.....they're all pretty much dumps. I have a brother-in-law who lives in Lubbock and my mother-in-law lives near Killeen. Those places got to be two of the biggest **** holes in the country. Let alone Texas.

I think their population is well represented on Clutchfans. A community ruled by stereotypes and overall low intelligence. Of course, the high percentage of obese women they are surrounded by might also have something to do with it.

LOL, believe me, it's not the women. A few years ago Clutchfans posted a video of themselves when they got together for a Rockets game - it's probably still on You-Tube. The "thinnest" guy in the group was about 240 pounds. I swear one guy looked to be pushing 400lbs.
 
I really, really like Austin. It would easily rank as a top city for me if not for the debilitating heat... but I guess you can adapt to that. The fact that musicians can get health insurance there is a nice bonus for consideration.

I was looking at some list, and SLC was on none of them. Most recent Top 10's consist of mostly California cities, with Houston being on a couple of them. In older list (like 08-09) Houston topped a lot of list, but have apparently enacted some laws that have helped them cut down on smog (though they still make most Top 25 list).
