Cody Williams Hype and Appreciation Thread

I’ve been impressed by him so far. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him given real minutes and a prominent role - depending on what the front office/coaching staff wants to see from the young guys this year.
 
Two issues I'm seeing with Cody Williams right now:

1) He's comfortable shooting and initiating offense from only a few spots on the floor, and as the 4th or 5th option when he's out there, he isn't normally in one of those spots.

2) He's not accustomed to NBA speed or physicality. He's slow to make decisions and slow to set up his shot. It also looks like he may be avoiding contact. If he sees an open lane to the rim, he'll take it, but that's not happening very often.

You are objectively right but spiritually wrong. This year is going to be rough. We're going to lose a lot of games. What makes this fun is geeking out when one of the young guns crushes a game, and especially when they crush two in a row. This is the forum that thought Trey Burke just needed time to put it together. The forum that was buying oceanfront property on Exum island. We can rally for 2024-2025.

Fwiw I hated both the trey burke and Dante exum picks from day 1. Especially hated the trey burke pick.

Cody showed some promise last night
His stats seemed very good
He might be a big surprise his rookie year
Let's hope so :) :) :)
