Cody Williams Hype and Appreciation Thread

Exum has shown he can play when he is not broken, which sadly is most of the time. He has looked good with Dallas. Cody has not shown anything close to what Exum did when healthy.

The only hope is Jalen Williams spent more time in college and also had a very slow start in the NBA so we can hope for a similar trajectory.

I think Cody just looks too timid, but you do see a base of skills and size that will likely keep him in the league.

What's his current injury? Osteopetrosis? I was reminded of him today while cleaning some expensive glasses mum bought in Venice.

He had a couple good games in SL but I saw it as fools gold. He didn’t look particularly good doing it. He had almost no floor game and showed little skill causing separation or handles. A lot of his damage was due to poor skill around him in a chaotic SL game if that makes any sense.

He looks timid because he lacks nba skill sets.

He really should have stayed in school he's clearly not ready.

I think Cody will pan out. His greatest assets are his family - his brother will help his game in the off-season. I have no clue what his ceiling is but he strikes me as a good guy who wants to succeed and has the physical tools needed to do so.

One bonus regarding the tank is we threw the rookies into the fire and they couldn't help but improve - it sucks Cody has mono - it makes me wonder how long he had it for. I know someone who had it undiagnosed for months and they were super ill and the dumbass hospital couldn't figure it out until someone had the sense to test for mono.

I just wonder if he had it for awhile. It might attribute to his "lack of motor."
