I think it's easy to underrate teams that rely on gimmicks - in this case absurdly high pressure defense. Mainly because when it doesn't work it looks terrible. I've seen WVU lose at least once this year in pretty embarrassing fashion, but when the defense is clicking it is pretty incredible.

They will have some problems. UCLA is an extremely talented and Alford is having a great tourney thus far. Wiltjer is going to have problems with Looney guarding him.

They basically crushed them during regular season while not yet in peak shape.... did UCLA got any better lately? I honestly was concerned more about Iowa and it was not even close - the way Zags are playing now with perfect balance on inside outside scoring and the way they move the ball I just don't see much chances for UCLA to be honest.
Lets look forward though, does Utah have any chances vs Duke?

I have no idea if Newman knows Howland. I kind of doubt it.
I also doubt it hurts MSU at all.
He is not real affiliated with a shoe company yet. I have heard Adidas is showing him the most attention but he likes nike a lot.. I'd call him open.
