Unfortunately, i'm a Commie at heart. I don't like having one team dominate an entire sport. U going 40-0 represents everything I hate about sports and life, and that goes deeper than my friendship with you. It's how the cookie crumbles.

If the Utes had 8 championships and were going for 9 and they were 38-0 you bet your *** I'd be going hard against them. Unless I was a Ute fan, or something.

Lol at rooting against somebody for being successful. Of all the reasons to dislike UK, this is one of the worst! Life ain't fair young buck, that's just how the cookie crumbles. Try to keep your morals while succeeding, but don't hate those that do succeed!
 
I'll be honest with you guys! I don't want UK to win! I think they will win of course, because they are clearly the most talented team on the court every time they play...not necessarily the best coached, but definitely the most talented!

The reason I don't want them to win is because of their fans! Not really you Dr. Jones, you're obviously biased because you're a fan, just like any other one of us would be, but some of the UK fans are just terrible. Mainly the bandwagon ones. It's the same reason I didn't like the Heat, but actually liked most of their players (sans Wade, well early Wade was awesome, old Wade is a bitch!). I just don't like the fans that much! Now some of you guys are definitely taking this a bit too seriously, you're friends, don't let a basketball game ruin that!

Also probably the most common. Notice how ppl don't give a **** to hate the Lakers anymore now that they're among the biggest jokes in the NBA? Note how Dr. Jones says he "hates" UCLA, but never mentions why?? This is most likely the reason why. We all hate the best-- either because we want to be the best ourselves, or because we live to see the underdog prevail.

Since I don't have a dog in the fight of the realm of NCAA athletics, I enjoy parity, and I live to see the underdog prevail.
 
^i respect that, but I think UK has fewer bandwagon friends than any team I know. It's the actual fans that suck.

We don't "all" hate the best. I can want to be the best, but still want everybody else to succeed. Some people want other people to do worse so they can be the best, some people want themselves to do better so they can be the best. Parity is nice and all, but it's not realistic, nor will it ever be. But I guess if you want every team to have a .500 record, then that's cool (not really)!
 
And lulz at acting like working 60 hours a week is some astronomical number! It's impressive no doubt, and good for your brother for doing that, but it's not that uncommon. As a high schooler in the summers I was working 70-100 hours a week so that I wouldn't have to work during school. You do what you have to so that you can do what you want, and you be thankful for the opportunity to do so, because it isn't guaranteed! Now lets get back to basketball!!!

I don't care if a team goes 40-0-- I just care if the team going 40-0 is a team that's been good since the freaking 30s or some ****, a team that'll probably win 5 championships in the next 10 years, and a team with among the most dislikable coaches I've yet encountered. I woulda been down with the Utes or the Badgers sign 40-0 this season. Very down.

Well you've completely missed the point of my posts. You're a moron if all you got from those posts is "ya we are where we are because of the astronomical amount of hours we work".

Like I said, some people wanna be better than the best while they're successful, some people wanna be better than the best by making the best worse. I think it's awesome what Kentucky is doing, it's freaking historic! I don't like their fans (or the Harrisons), but that team is one hell of a team...whether they've been good for 50 years or 2 years doesn't make a difference.
