Does a two loss Pac12 champion get in if there are two 1 loss (or less) SEC teams?

Depends on the losses, I would reckon. CFB pundits are always mentioning "good losses". Right now, Michigan honks are all about Utah being a "good loss." Whatevs. And position in the polls.

But it's a valid question. I'd like to think that a deserving team would be recognized, even if it had 2 losses. But you know, SEC bias and all... ;)

The Pac could easily cannibalize itself out of the playoff. So far, and yes it's early, I don't see a dominant team in either division. Good teams beating each other up.

What?!?

You missed a game between two ranked teams, where one team beat the other by the largest margin of victory EVER between two ranked teams.

Did you also miss the game between Utah and Michigan where Utah controlled the game and scored more points than all of Michigan's opponents COMBINED?

There has been no better looking team than Utah up to this point. Amazing defense, best ST in the country, the #1 QB in the country in QBR and Devantae Booker.

Please child, give respect where respect is due.

I don't think you understood bronco70's post.

The post where he said the doesn't see a dominant team in the PAC-12? Yeah, I saw that. And I'm saying Utah has been dominant so far this year.

If you say that the PAC-12 has no dominate team, then you are saying that the country doesn't have a dominant team this year, because no team has done more, or looked better doing it than Utah.

I think what he was saying is that there won't be an undefeated team coming out of the pac12
I agree with that.

That ute vs Oregon game was amazing. The utes were dominant. I don't think they are THAT good though. Sometimes a team has a peak performance that they can't match after that (the utes in this case).
And sometimes a team lays an egg that doesn't reflect their true abilities in a particular game (Oregon last Saturday)

Now I'm not saying the utes are not really good..... In fact if you go to the beginning of u of u homer thread you will see that I (a byu fan) was the first one talking about how good the utes would be this year before they even played a game yet (I predicted that they would beat Michigan easily).
I even predicted that they would challenge for the pac12 title before others were talking about it.
The bandwagon and confidence for the utes is huge right now, and it should be, but it's very unlikely they just walk through the pac12 unscathed on their way to the national championship

Chalk one up for fish. You don't seem to understand my post.

First of all, I said I didn't see a dominant team in either division, but tomato to-mah-to, right? Are you ready to declare Utah the undisputed heavy weight kings of the south division? I'm not. They had a magnificent game against Oregon (not in our division, and not the same Oregon that beat us up in our own house last year) but do you think the rest of our conference schedule will play out like that? Hallelujah if it does, but I'm a little more pragmatic than that. If we had put similar beat downs on Michigan, USU, and Fresno, maybe I would be as starry-eyed as you are. But I've been a sports fan long enough to learn that sometimes those moments of invincibility are just that: moments.

Good on ya for your enthusiasm. I hope you are right. But in the meantime, I'm sticking to my opinion.

This.
I don't think beating down top ten teams on the road by 40 points per game is going to be a week in week out thing.
That game was a bit of an anomaly. Usu was tied with the utes at the half. Usu looks like total **** this year.
The Michigan game could have gone either way.
Fresno is fresno.

Utes have to come to play each week and will be in many more battles before the year is over and might lose one of them or even a couple.

We did have a similar beat down vs Michigan. We scored more points vs them than the rest of their opponents combined. Michigan scored a TD in garbage time, and if not for two PF calls on third downs, they might not have scored 10 points. We dominated them, and they are ranked now.

As far as Fresno and Utah State, look no further than our QB. And yet we still controlled both games, showed nothing (see Oregon) and walked away with easy wins.

Again, when Whitt calls us a Giant, equals with a team like Oregon, and then says after two games vs Oregon (who almost beat then #2 team in the country on the road) and Michigan (a ranked team) that he expected those wins....

You can be pessimistic if you want. You are just robbing yourself of a special season.

I think the problem is, too many Utah fans have given too many BYU fans crap for being a "zoob" and so now that their team is good, they don't want to look like a "zoob". Sucks to be you if that's that case. This team is great. What they are doing is great.

Finally, show me a team that has looked better than Utah so far this year. What Utah did last weekend wasn't a moment. It was something that had only been done once before. Alabama, Ohio St, Michigan, USC, Texas...they've never done what Utah did last weekend.

Show me one team that has looked better than Utah, and I'll temper my enthusiasm.

Who has looked better than Utah? Where would you rank Michigan St?
