I just reviewed the thread from the first page. I learned a few things--one of which is that it seems really hard to be a BYU fan.

I think it's a jazz note on the web browser.
On the app is just a bunch of nonsense symbols and what not)

Fwiw, I appreciated what hey hey had to say in this thread. He is a rare breed (like myself) that has the ability to dislike a football team/program and yet still have the ability to discuss both the good and bad about that program instead of just spewing constant hate and negativity.

I respect and like him for that. Wish there were more ute fans like him (jazzman12 ain't too bad to talk byu football with either)

Don't get me wrong fish. I wanted BYU to win their first 2 games because I see it as being good for my Utes. I will be rooting for them to lose their next 2. I still very much hate BYU. In much the same way I hope the Lakers beat the Pelicans multiple times this year. I can even admit that Shaq was a great center but I still hate the Lakers.

I feel ya. I want the utes to lose pretty much every game but I'm still able to say positive things about their team and players and not nit pick every thing that their coach, players, and program does that is negative.
I want the utes to lose every game but I still don't feel the need to bash everything ute related.

You seem to be that way as well and I appreciate that

Speaking of that, Tanner Mangum was on Rome today. No talk of nut punch. Kai Nacua was National Defensive Player of the Week (to credit Utah, Paul was PAC defensive player of the week, so that's pretty good too). Stewart Mandel lists Mangum as his top Heisman candidate. BYU has been all over ESPN the past couple weeks for their dramatic finishing wins. And there has been talk about the nut punch.

When you are a nationally relevant program, you take the good with the bad.

^this guy thinks his defensive posts about BYU don't spur more comments from Utes, and thus shouldn't be counted in the number of Ute-authored posts.

And he also wants to make sure you realize what arses Utes fans are for all these ideas!

srs, though, fishonjazz is one of my favorite posters even though I'm sure he hates me half the time.... and even though he hates me just when he misunderstands my motives. I can tell he's a cool dude.
 
Decided to take Fish up on his offer. Counted back four pages. There were 13 positive comments about the utes by BYU fans (most of the posts being Fish and me), a few neutral posts by BYU fans and 1 or 2 negative posts by BYU fans - assuming scootsy is a BYU fan.

the other thread in a few...

Went back a few pages in this thread. There were 3 or 4 negative comments from ute fans about BYU on just about every page. 1 or 2 neutral comments total by ute fans and didn't see any positive comments from ute fans about BYU.
