Two of the most recent posts by BYU fans in this thread are two guys saying BYU isn't that good and that they will be blown out by UCLA. I don't think homerism means what you think it means.

Some ute fans want so bad for BYU fans to be jerks or arrogant or homers, that when they don't have enough actual ammo, they will make **** up to appease their view.

Newsflash: You are a BYU homer. Just because you aren't claiming that they are going to win the national championship this year does not make you an impartial observer. But my point was that claiming that Ute fans need to stay in the Ute homer thread and that this is the wrong thread for them to be commenting in is stupid. If you want a BYU homer thread then make one.

If the normal BYU fan is abnormal, and fish is a BYU fan that is normal, doesn't the normalcy of fish mean he is actually abnormal?

I definitely am an byu abnormal fan.
Ugli can attest to that.
Tattooed, non church going (though I still think I have some of the good values and morals that the church taught me), partying, slept with lots of ho's, done plenty of drugs (though that is mostly in the past), swears too ****ing much, and digs teh rated R movies.

Kinda wish I did more byu fan like things as far as serving people.... Things like working for free in factories to help get food to poor hungry people, donate more, do meals on wheels, volunteer to feed the homeless (did that once on thanksgiving and want to do it again) give blood, help the community.

I grew up in a family that did all those types of things and still do. I would like to get more into that stuff.

True story.
I went out clubbing one night in the long ago and I would often bring a pint of southern comfort with me (as I did on this night) and after the club we went to dennys.
Then after denny we were waking to our car and passed a homeless dude. I had half of my bottle left and so I gave it to him.
Now I have given money, food, a pair of gloves in the cold winter, and a jacket directly to homeless folks before. Never have any of the homeless that I helped been happier than that dude was when I gave him my bottle. He couldn't stop thanking me

-Isn't bothered if BYU is discussed in the college football thread.

-Doesn't get hyper sensitive if BYU fan posts about my team.

-Would be more than happy to stay out of any thread that was created to solely discuss BYU football.

Mark me down as somebody who:

-Can't get over the turds I grew up around who influenced me to hate everything BYU as a result of their holier-than-thou attitudes.

-Wouldn't mind it one bit if my team never played BYU again (a fact that I didn't realize until this two year hiatus came along).

-Would love it if BYU homers created their own thread where they can say whatever they want about their team and mine. I promise to never visit.

I have more friends that are BYU fans than friends that are Utah fans, and 99% of them are actually fun to talk to about college football (they're pretty much just like fish). They don't hate, and I don't hate. When our teams play each other, the rivalry is still there, but we still get along swimmingly. BYU fans who hate Utah fans (and vice versa) generally form their opinions of each other based on the fragile psyches that use the internet as their wailing wall, rather than as a casual informational source.

It's going to be a VERY interesting next 2 weeks in regards to in-state football. IMO, Utah State has a pretty good chance to go up to Seattle and beat a bad UW team and follow that up with a home win over Boise. BYU has UCLA/Michigan. Both are obviously common opponents for Utah and I'm intrigued to see how BYU looks in their 2 toughest games to date (I think Michigan is a little bit better than Nebraska). Utah has what hopefully is a snoozer vs Fresno, but Oregon looms and with Vernon Adams looking "meh" so far and nursing a broken finger, if Utah can clean some things up, I think they'll push the Ducks in Eugene.

My post is a play on the one I quoted. Just havin some casual fun. No need to wail about it

Just so you know. In this general college football thread there has been 14 ute fans that discussed byu (most just bashing/trolling.... Though not all) and 11 byu fans that discussed byu. (Most of them just trying to defend themselves from the bashing/trolling.... Though not all)
