I think that trade was just as much of not more about getting rid of the dude that was old and didn’t fit the team

Because there was a rule in Beverly's contract that said he had to be traded to LA.....

I do recall reading that Bev didn’t want to be here if we weren’t going for the playoffs. Jazz obliged.

What I’m saying is I think LA wanted Bev and offered THT. I think LA thought THT had run his course in LA and THT was offered. If LA still valued THT as they did a year earlier this never would’ve happened.
