Collin Sexton SZN

And how many are 6'1 guards who dont have a wide enough skillset to be a starter (Sexton is one of them)
I dont know. I haven't seen the list yet. I really like guys who produce and do so efficiently though regardless.

Ok I have read a lot about Collin Sexton in this thread good and bad. I have a serious question...
How much better would Immanuel Quickley be to Sexton?

I know quickley is taller and that is a big plus. But other than that their statistics are very similar across the board. Sexton would come in 8 million a year less. (Quickley wants 4 year 100 million)
Honest question

Quickley is one of the better defensive guards in the league. He's a total menace, and you can really see this by the way he rotates around the perimeter. Covers so much ground and does all the little things. He is a massive upgrade on that end. Offensively, while Sexton is a good+effiicient scorer, he doesn't necessarily make his teammates better and he's often a ball stopper. Still a good offense player in his own right, but Quickley plays within an offense better IMO.

Both guys were really good as starters, but Quickley was insane. You have to balance that with his suspect playoff performances, but he definitely deserves the higher price tag between the two. I think Quickley is the new Lowry, they may not be flashy or look the part of a star player, but they contribute sooooo much to winning. It's not an accident that year after year he's a +/- god. While the basic statistics may not be close, it is not remotely close by the advanced metrics.

So what would it take to get him?

Knicks are in a conundrum with him wanting 4 years 100 million. He is a good trade piece for a better player. He is a RFA next year and any team that trades for him will want to extend him.

I was thinking olynyk, Sexton and a first maybe 2 for him and fornier.

If I was NY I would want 2 first or at least 1 young player like BS.
