What's new

Conley is a chemistry problem and we should trade him

So you're saying that they were so sure that Conley would screw the pooch, they made sure the ball was in his hands? One of the most beloved players in Grizz history, really? Okay, you win, really good logic there.
PS Brooks and Jackson have improved a whole bunch and Valanciunus is a beast this year. Anyway, what's your point? Their record is no better than when they had Conley last year.
Conley was 30-40 in the last 70 games he played for the Grizz. Ja right now is at 23-24 and will be 24-24 after beating the Knicks tonight. that's clearly better

You caught me before I could change it. Memphis is doing surprisingly well this year after a slow start. Ja is for real, and that's why they went after him. Memphis is clearly not tanking this season, with their ducks in a row and their payroll in line with lots of flexibility. You do know what tanking is though right? An intentional tank has everything to do with a coach making intentional plays and substitutions in order to orchestrate a loss in order to assure a good draft position.

Rubio was awful on defense last year. I think the team would disagree with you about the leadership Conley is bringing.
I dont think rubio was awful, hes a bit bigger than conley and wouldnt get out muscled by bigger guards. Im not sure how much leader ship conley has brought since hes bern hurt so much and now is coming off the bench. I mean hes not not a leader but i wouldnt say his leadership or lack of has showed up in the win loss column.

Last year is his best year and worst year for the Grizz. If we wanna tank like Grizz, then give Conley the ball and let him do his work.
Those aren't related. His team was terrible. He played very well. He has shown at times this year when he isn't thinking he can play well.

Rubio was awful last year... He literally could not stay in front of a single player he guarded. The year before he was okay. Conley has been a better defender his whole career over Rubio though. It's easy to to just say he is small, but there are bigger factors.

how so? ja is pretty much leading this same "terrible team" to a 24-24 record now. i'd say it's clearly related. if he's really that good and grizz wanted to tank, they wouldn't have played conley the way they did last season. conley was clearly their tank commander to finish the season. he collect his stats as grizz collect their L's. good business

Lol, Conley's never been a better defender than Rubio. Rubio's one of the best defensive guards in the league, Conley is very very average.
conley was once a good defender, right around when Rose was still a MVP caliber player/Joakim Noah was the reigning DPOY. look at where those players are now

Ja is also good. All stats back up he played well, the team did not. It's pretty simple.

12/0/1/0/0 5 of the 12 pts were free throws.
There’s still time....

To trade him
Also remember he didn’t want to come here last year and that cost us more then his greed got him here but didn’t bring his heart. That’s why he cried like a baby in the first Memphis game and played like crap. Trade him before we cant

yep, and him playing well is related to his team not playing well. pretty simple

conley is(or WAS) a good player. but he's just not as good as most made him out to be
