We didn't pay all this for Conley to not play the same role he played for Memphis and shoot 16+ shots per game. Conley is a 1st and 2nd option, Rubio couldn't be even though we needed him to be.But you're comparing a teams 1st option's numbers with a guy who as a role player for his team. Conley's numbers are inflated here.

We will be over the cap but under the hard cap. So we will still have the MLE and bi-annual to use. Unless we waive Favors then we have 3 million in space but the MLE drops from standard 9.2 mil to the room MLE that is 4.7 mil. The bi-annual is 3.6 mil. Plus we can sign players to vet min.

Oh, plus the trade exception from Burks.
We have plenty of room to make a few more moves.

It's kind of my point

My understanding is that Memphis declined the trade at the deadline, not Utah.Jazz give up an additional first (maybe) in a double cohort year, and lose their full MLE this season to save Ricky Rubio the inconvenience of moving to Memphis mid-season.
Really poor asset management.
Ya those 3 weren't as good as AD is when New Jersey got them. They got Garnett, Pierce and DWill. They had better roster than what Lakers currently have and still could not do **** and it made them stuck in mediocre state for years. Lol at Prokhorov at that time promising title within 5 years - they did not even come close.
Disagree. My numbers show that it's an obvious upgrade. Roles may be different but there is an obvious reason we have went the route we have. We need Conleys numbers not Rubio's numbers.I know that, but you listing those numbers was not a fair comparison as conditions were not equal.
And to be fair no one saw D Will falling off as hard as he did in Brooklyn.Ya those 3 weren't as good as AD is when New Jersey got them.

dunks aren't a small part when they are the most efficient shot in basketball and you are doing them a record number of times.Dunks are just small part of basketball. As I said we do not have any top teams in NBA right now which would have 4 and 5 who can't shoot.
Lol at you thinking 5 games is a bigger indicator than hundreds. Lololololol. Can you look at his stats from Houston series please lol.
I don't think those number are legit. In order for the trade to be complete Jazz have to have capspace. To have capspace they need to renounce the capholds. This site still have all the capholds and Conley on board. I don't think that's possible. And the trade was only agreed, but not yet completed.
Didn't you love when we traded for Rubio? Just sayingDonovan Mitchell has never played with a PG as good as Conley.
Conley has never played with an off-ball guard as good as Mitchell.
Those two will help each other a lot. Conley has never played with another guard who can create like Mitchell can. Takes some of the pressure off Conley as he gets older. This is a really, really good fit on court and off court.

I like it.Your contributions will be missed.
Hope you like the trade.
Barnes too I thinkWhy are you so sure he won't? Al Horford just did it with the Celtics.
