Conley Officially a Jazzman

People keep talking about Conley like he's a 20+ ppg guy. He WAS, and now we have to hope he still will be. However, the dude will be 32 years old when the season starts and has had injuries in his career. His production could drop off quick.

Oh wow! We traded the #23 in a ****** draft. BOOOO!!

And we traded Grayson Allen, who is bad. The dude can't play defense. C'mon.

The only bummer is Crowder, but he's replaceable. Pick up Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, even if he can't shoot. And apparently the Jazz like Georges.

Simply put, Conley makes the Utah Jazz a title contender for the next two years. That's worth giving up what we did. Shots like this are few and far between, and Conley fits perfectly. He's a good shooter, a great leader, a good defender, he plays tough and smart. He's perfect for Snyder. Look what Snyder did with Rubio for petes sake. We're a legit top 5 NBA team with this roster and people are bitching. Idiots.

Fwiw, very small chance Conley opts out of this contract. He's gonna be 32/32...who's gonna give him a bigger contract?

Speaking for myself, lots of things.
Harris, Russell, a stretch 4, kemba, Conley...... Seems that we could have had Conley for less at the deadline last season though and then had him for the playoffs last year. Oh that's another thing I want. To have beaten the rockets in the playoffs a few months ago. Conley probably would have got us there and we wouldn't have Exum and probably still have a draft of the in 2022.

Another thing to consider for all those that thought we over paid... what else was on the table for Memphis? I think multiple teams were offering up the kitchen sink to get him. I think jazz may have been the big winner

Memphis is shopping the #23 pick. With #26 and #30 also being up for trade in a flat draft, the #23 pick doesn't actually have that much value...

Perhaps we can still trade up in the second round and get someone we like. It seems lots of players we worked out will be available. Walter Perrin suggested that.

**** the all star game, **** the selection process, **** the fan vote, and **** anyone who believes that a selection is a meaningful metric for anything.

Conley is a great point guard in an age saturated by them.

Rudy has never been all star... he must suck.

That was a lot to give up. Guess this means we weren’t getting any marquee free agents.

Don't be so sure. Why do you think Derek was kept out? We can still create one by waiving him and releasing our holds. I believe that's about 32.8 total. A small deal (Lakers are looking for 2nds after all) ensures it.

Perhaps they're going all in this year.

They are definitely going all in this year. For f sake, we just traded our 2019 1st, our 2018 1st, our 2022 1st, beloved Jae Crowder and beloved Korver for Conley.

Don't get me wrong, Conley might make us really good, but we gave up a lot. We better have other moves up our sleeve.
