I guess it comes down to what you want more. Pau is good for two years, then he is most likely done as your centerpiece. Jefferson could give you 5 more years. Pau is better for shorter, Jefferson isn't quite as good, but will be able to maintain that level longer. The Jazz can offer you a better pick than the Lakers can. The Jazz could also throw Bell in and a second round pick.

I think if I was Charlotte, I would take Utah's offer. They have potential to have a better pick next year, Bell is a vet than theoretically could provide some stability to their team, Jefferson is a good PF/C, and they could gain some depth this year with Utah's second pick.
