Countdown to Trump using the military against Americans

It’s entertainment!

As federal agents prepared to fan out in Los Angeles for a controversial immigration crackdown, the officers were greeted by a familiar face: Dr. Phil McGraw.

The television personality and his camera crew were on hand before and after the raids that took place on Friday and triggered several days of street protests.

McGraw was there “to get a first-hand look at the targeted operations,” according to his conservative TV channel, MeritTV.

McGraw also had “exclusive” access to Trump’s border czar Tom Homan, a spokesperson for the channel said. The two men sat down for taped conversations about the Immigration and Customs Enforcement efforts both “the day before and day after the LA operation.”

The TV personality and Homan were also together at the Homeland Security Investigations field office in L.A. on the morning the raids began.

McGraw’s presence on the ground in L.A. reinforces the made-for-TV nature of Trump’s immigration crackdown.

The former daytime talk show host was embedded with ICE officials in Chicago back in January, when some federal agents were told to be camera-ready for a show of force at the very start of President Trump’s second term……

………
Trump officials have repeatedly tried to maximize television and online attention around immigration enforcement activities this year. Homan and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem are regulars on Fox News and other Trump-aligned TV networks. They also frequently publicize ICE actions on X and other social media platforms.

As protests escalated in L.A., Trump officials used X to justify Trump’s extraordinary deployment of the National Guard and warn Angelenos not to impede immigration operations.

“We are not stopping or slowing down. We are not intimidated or apprehensive,” FBI deputy director Dan Bongino wrote in one of his messages.

Trump set the administration’s tone through his own posts on Truth Social, at times sounding like the marketer of an action movie.

A once great American City, Los Angeles, has been invaded and occupied by Illegal Aliens and Criminals,” he claimed on Sunday, promising federal action to “liberate” L.A.

“Order will be restored, the Illegals will be expelled, and Los Angeles will be set free,” Trump wrote, spurring criticism from residents who said he was vastly overstating the severity of the situation.

Early Monday morning, as Los Angeles police worked to disperse demonstrators, Trump appeared to be watching TV as he posted about a police press conference and reacted to videos of skirmishes in the streets.

“Looking really bad in L.A.,” Trump wrote. “BRING IN THE TROOPS!!!”

Rounding up illegal immigrants this way was a guarantee of what we see happening in LA. Sounds like ICE Barbie is looking forward to cracking skulls. I’m sure Trump has things like the Insurrection Act, maybe martial law in mind….

What a summer of 2025 is in store for America.

And yesterday, Trump said he does not want a civil war. Well, maybe just enough to cancel elections in 2026 and 2028….

Kristi Noem issued an ominous warning to protesters in Los Angeles on Monday as tensions over immigration raids rolled into their fourth day.

The Homeland Security Secretary praised Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents as they faced off against protesters challenging the Trump administration’s sweeping deportation agenda.

“We’re coming in and doing what the president has said that he’s going to do,” she told Fox News’ Hannity. “The more that people conduct violence against law enforcement officers, boy, we’re going to hit ‘em back, and we’re going to hit ‘em back harder than we ever have before.”

Noem also took a swipe at Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, who said in a press conference earlier in the day that the unrest “started in Washington, D.C.” when Trump deployed the National Guard against the wishes of California Governor Gavin Newsom.

“She’s holding press conferences talking about the fact that people have the right to peacefully protest and that they’re a city of immigrants,” Noem said. “Well, they’re not a city of immigrants, they’re a city of criminals, because she has protected them for so many years.”

Wall Street Journal article describes the meeting where Stephen Miller’s “marching orders” led to the situation involving LA..

Even with the high-profilearrests of suspects by masked immigration agents and the plane loads of migrants swiftly ferried out of the U.S., President Trump was falling short of the number of daily deportations carried out by the Biden administration in its final year.

So in late May, Stephen Miller, a top White House aide and the architect of the president’s immigration agenda, addressed a meeting at the headquarters of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, known as ICE. The message was clear: The president, who promised to deport millions of immigrants living in the country illegally, wasn’t pleased. The agency had better step it up.

Gang members and violent criminals, what Trump called the “worst of the worst,” weren’t the sole target of deportations. Federal agents needed to “just go out there and arrest illegal aliens,” Miller told top ICE officials, who had come from across the U.S., according to people familiar with the meeting.

Agents didn’t need to develop target lists of immigrants suspected of being in the U.S. illegally, a longstanding practice, Miller said. Instead, he directed them to target Home Depot, where day laborers typically gather for hire, or 7-Eleven convenience stores. Miller bet that he and a handful of agents could go out on the streets of Washington, D.C., and arrest 30 people right away.

“Who here thinks they can do it?” Miller said, asking for a show of hands.

ICE agents appeared to follow Miller’s tip and conducted an immigration sweep Friday at the Home Depot in the predominantly Latino neighborhood of Westlake in Los Angeles, helping set off a weekend of protests around Los Angeles County, including at the federal detention center in the city’s downtown. On Saturday, Trump ordered 2,000 National Guard troops to Southern California, despite objections by Gov. Gavin Newsom.

ICE is preparing for raids in 5 Democratic cities. We elected a moron who is determined to just blow the country up. Trump has declared war on America. Yeah, I get there are millions of illegal immigrants in the United States. But Stephen Miller thinks at least 3000 a day must be rounded up. And in a manner that just won’t go smoothly, or peacefully.

That’s the stupidity of this asinine effort. It creates chaos and civil war vibes. Strong civil war vibes. Trump and Miller could not be more stupid. This is what they plan until they have rounded up millions?! And Stephen Miller even looks the part of Nazi. This is Trump’s plan. Stage LA style raids in Democratic cities, crack down violently on any protests in those cities, crack skulls, make it look like we are in a civil war. It will take a few years as well, at this rate. And somehow, we can just live in such a climate.

Donald Trump is set to deploy ICE tactical units to five Democrat-run cities amid the riots in Los Angeles as Gavin Newsom nearly broke into tears while blaming his administration for inciting the California chaos.

The military-style units are set to storm New York City, Seattle, Chicago, Philadelphia and northern Virginia, MSNBC reported. Four of those five are heavily blue cities, while northern Virginia contains the Democrat enclave of Alexandria.

The ICE raids have sparked protests that brought Los Angeles to its knees, as the mayor opted to introduce a lockdown from 8pm to 6am.

The reports came as the California governor delivered a harrowing prediction for the rest of the country Tuesday night in a nationally televised address that blasted Trump's deployment of US troops to Los Angeles.

'Look, this isn't just about protests here in Los Angeles, when Donald Trump sought blanket authority to commandeer the National Guard. He made that order apply to every state in this nation,' Newsom said, as he teared up.

'This is about all of us. This is about you. California may be first, but it clearly will not end here. Other states are next. Democracy is next. Democracy is under assault before our eyes, this moment we have feared has arrived.'

Newsom accused Trump of 'taking a wrecking ball to our founding fathers' historic project' of three co-equal branches of government.

As the governor delivered his teary address, the President was greeting US military personnel at Fort Bragg.

He was in North Carolina to recognise the 250th anniversary of the US Army, but spent much of the speech defending the decision to deploy soldiers against 'animals' and 'foreign enemies' protesting against ICE arrests in LA.

'What you're witnessing in California is a full blown assault on peace, on public order and national sovereignty... with the aim of continuing a foreign invasion of our country. We're not gonna let that happen,' he said.

'We will not allow an American city to be invaded and conquered by a foreign enemy. That's what they are.'

The president went on to call LA 'a trash heap' with 'entire neighborhoods under control' of criminals, adding the government would 'use every asset at our disposal to quell the violence and restore law and order.'

'We will liberate Los Angeles and make it free, clean and safe again,' Trump said.

The rhetoric of an invasion and criminals over-running the city is straight out of the Nazi fascist playbook. He has that down. And Newsome is spot on. This is eerily reflecting the movie "Civil War". But in this case it will have to be the liberal states taking it to the federal government. No way Texas gets involved on the side of the good guys. I don't think we are terribly far from a full-on civil war at this point. And frankly there might be no other way out.

the comments section is terrifying

I added a few comments, but most of them are just the same 6 people recycling their comments about getting rid of illegals. Not much going on in the comment section really, at least not right now.

I watched it for about 5 minutes just a heap of right wing fan bois in a circle jerk.

ICE tactical units have become Trump's Black Shirts. Now that he is militarizing the national guard, he has the 2-pronged attack of Mussolini. The ICE tactical units to do whatever he wants (Mussolini's black shirts) and the national guard to add an air of official propriety to the actions taken, like Mussolini did when he declared himself the Secretary of the Interior which in Italy at that time, controlled the police force. This is all straight out of the fascist playbook.

Yes it is. Not so oddly enough, last night I started thinking of Trump as a Mussolini clone.
