The fact that she categorized herself as "Native American and was deemed a minority in a professional directory used by law schools for recruiting purposes" is laughable.
If I categorize you as a nazi, and you know about and do not correct it, are you a nazi?I agree that's an odd way to categorize yourself. However, since Warren never categorized herself that way, it's moot.

If I were a betting man, I'd say both Stoked and BP had one too many the other night. This sounds a lot like one of those you-don't-agree-with-me-so-I-don't-respect-you things. Pretty common right now. I don't think anything that has been said by any of us warrants something like this otherwise, but I won't defend anything, you can have your opinion and I can have mine. I still wish you well.
People can say the she never claimed to be Native American as much as they want, but it's pretty obvious she has - probably many times too.If I categorize you as a nazi, and you know about and do not correct it, are you a nazi?
Although the conventional wisdom among students and faculty is that the Law School faculty includes no minority women, Chmura said Professor of Law Elizabeth Warren is Native American.
Do you really think that a professional on that level is not going to vet what is being printed in public material by their employer about them, especially when it would directly affect their reputation? I would actually be surprised if the university would publish any kind of info about professors without their input. We have evidence that Warren knew what Harvard said about her in some recruitment materials?
Am I responsible for responding to every lie told by every poster?
In any case, Warren has only categorized herself as having native American ancestry, and having family stories about it.
Look, I think the mocking way you are addressing what is essentially an issue created by Donald Trump and not Elizabeth Warren, based on her understanding of her family history is ugly. That's it. I overreacted in my response to it, but either way, I think it's ugly. There is no evidence I've seen that Elizabeth Warren went around waving an "I'm a native American" flag, just that in very limited ways she passed on her understanding of her family ancestry as told by her family. So to put her down when until a few days ago the only thing she had to go on was what she was told by her family, about her family, it's real low-brow stuff. This sounds a lot like one of those you-don't-agree-with-me-so-I-don't-respect-you things.
