I don't think your team can score. You have exactly one player who can shoot, and will end up running the vast majority of your possessions through Derozan who is a decent volume scorer but not great. Joe Johnson is likely better than Klay straight up, and Korver is a better shooter.

Saying Derozan is the best wing player since Carter for the Raptors is like saying I can score 100 points against a team of 4 year olds.
 
Hekate's team is so sorry.. He is only here because he has Carroll, Korver, and Millsap on his team.. Hotttnickkk's team isn't much better, but he gets the nod here easily. A pretty bad finals matchup, imo.
 
If Hekate starts Joe Johnson at SG, his team's pretty legit, imo. Demarre Carroll is the SF version of Faried, hair and everything.

Don't tell me they are bad players because they are not. Korver is a elite shooter, I needed that. Carroll is a defensive stopper, I also needed that. Millsap is the perfect complementary player to my bigs because he can play both with Bosh and Howard. They all fill a need.

LOL .... looks like I'm a true Jazz fan then, cos this Summer I've made it to 2 Finals and looks like I'll lose both.

Thanks fish. I feel I had the best team as well. My mind was blown that Aldridge and Harden were available with 14 and 15. I have a feeling people were blind for there dislike of Harden, who by the way is the top offensive SG in the league, and dynamic playmaker to go with those 25 points a game, then consider there is no defense that can stop Aldridge's offensive game, without question the most dynamic PF in the NBA today, then pepper in defensive minded players like Conley Favors Smart Afflalo and Smith. Very proud of my draft

Some made the mistake of calling my team soft, but with guys like Conley Favors Afflalo smart and smith and Jonas. No way is that team soft

I really do love Carroll and Korver starting for Hekate. With Parker having D-12 and Bosh to work with, there's no need to add two more guys that need plays called for them. Carroll is a super energizer who makes all kinds of hustle plays that keep the offense and defense from going stale, and a guy you can't ignore from the corner three, and obviously we n
Know what Korver can do. He's the best 3pt shooting wing in the game who can put the ball on the floor, and shoot off the dribble and move as well as anyone, and also has a very good midrange game as well as being a long distant shooter. Do any of you realize how much pressure that puts on a defense? Then you bring in Johnson and Thomas. Hekate wins this thanks to Parker. Most underrated player in the nba, and one of the best.

I voted for QSH, inadvertently. So, normally you would have won that matchup with my Vote, but QSH had a lucky day. I was holding on to punish him for benching BIG-AL on his roster but, CAKAR, once again, was so drunk that he was not able to differentiate between QSH and CY... I was to lazy to correct it on the thread that day, I do not know why Iam talking about this right now, but maybe you feel a bit better.

Alright guys the poll has FINALLY closed and the JazzFanz Annual Current NBA Draft is over for another year.


It's been an eventful tourney starting off with my first controversial pick of Tim Duncan and was ridiculed for days and days... definitely not a popular pick.... it was a bad start and I had to really work hard to assemble a decent team after that. Both the Semis and the Finals were really close and could really have gone either way.


Now that the tourney is over for another year, I would like to thank the following people:

1. Spy - in the All Time Finals match-up he was a very gracious winner. Didn't brag or rub it in, but instead he rep'd & congratulated me for a great match. Pity he didn't have much time to participate fully in this Current Draft.

2. Siro - thanks for taking over the tourney admin responsibility when Spy got too busy. You did a GREAT job and handled everything like a pro, and making sure the polls were posted on time like clockwork. (literally 7pm every time without fail).

3. Hekate - a great Finals match. Very commendable for your FIRST EVER tourney and making it to the Finals - shows your have great potential. Look forward to your team next year bro, and may be meeting you in NZ one day!!

4. Fishonjazz - thanks for filling in and making picks for many people who weren't available. Your pick of Joe Johnson I think contributed greatly to how far Hekate went in the tourney.

5. Cy & PKM & NUM for participating. I know you guys are the "heavy weights" of this board and it was good to see all of you joining us. Also very interesting to see how you guys formed your teams. Cy with the uniquely defensive team. NUM with a gutsy team. PKM with the..... 'not sure if serious' team.

6. Thanks everyone else for participating: Addictionary, Thee Jazz Fanz, White Choc, Hack, Quin and Mhindy.


Last but not least I would like to thank everyone who have participated in the voting process. We couldn't have done it without you!!!

Don't write Winner on your signature kkk. It rhymes with something else.

Write something instead like "2014 Current Players World Champion!" It's what the guys in the NBA do.
