Damn .. Rondo

3 guys in their mid 30's are the reason Rajon Rondo is so good, right? Thats your reason?
You mean his teammates who are above-average finishers, and always have been regardless of who has been passing them the ball, and continue to be elite scorers? They're a big part of it, yes.

We are not getting Rondo, so these trade for Rondo threads a pointless. BTW, I realize this wasn't originally a trade for Rondo thread, but like all Rondo threads it has gone in that direction.

SHUT THE **** UP ABOUT RONDO.

the guy isn't very good at creating shots off the dribble. He has team-mates that are amazing finishers.... garnett, pierce, and ray allen. He's a system player and would not be a good fit in Utah. give it up on this ****ing guy already.

what we ****ing need is a d.rose.

Actually, it's closer to this article here

The Boston Celtics are aggressively trying to trade Rajon Rondo, their fourth-leading scorer and one of the NBA’s best point guards, sources told ESPN The Magazine’s Chris Broussard.

The Celtics find Rondo’s personality to be too high-maintenance and his clashes with coach Doc Rivers remain an off-court distraction, sources told Broussard, and the front office is now actively pitching him to other teams. With the Celtics realizing they are no longer title contenders, they don’t believe his point guard prowess is worth the headaches Rondo brings, sources say. And they do not want to build around him.

This is why I don't want Rondo. If we wanted someone with this character, we would have kept Deron.

So what are you saying? That Rajon Rondo instills that since he has three saavy veterans on his team it gives him like hidden, "Hulkamania" style strength that makes him score, rebound, and pass better?

I didn't know that was possible, but after the zombie in Miami... Anything is. Rajon Rondos stats don't mean jack. If someone walks up to me in two days and were to tell me "Rondo went off for a quad-double", I'd have to tell em it's because "The big 3 were there".

He's a system guy, but doesn't fit in with Utah? I thought we'd been this "system" team for the last 30 some years?

You don't have a clue what you're talking about, how about that.

is it me or does Rondo looked perpetually pissed off?

Not like I'm really, really focused pissed off. Kind of like, this sucks I'm surrounded by a bunch of losers pissed off. He seems to go long stretches without even looking at anyone letting alone talking to them.

He's always had that look, even in high school. I do think it's focus and inner-fire .. but opinions abound.
