Do you think the Jazz could swindle the Lakers and take D'Angelo Russell off their hands by the Jazz trading Trey? D is radioactive right now and it's time for DL to strike while the iron's hot.

Burke and a pick might do it, but then what do the Jazz do with four PGs. It might disrupt team chemistry. Not sure what the Jazz will do with Burke. I think they should see if they can get a vet who can hit 3's for him and a pick, someone like Jared Dudley who also can play good D.
 
I would do it. He is really young and talented and relatively cheap. If all we give up trey and/or a pick for the #2 pick in last years draft then its a no brainer.

Both russell and exum can play some shooting guard btw.
 
Yeah I don't see them trading him. They will let their free agents walk before getting rid of their top 3 pick.
 
Heck, yes you do that trade. Russell just turned 20 and is an immature kid. But as we know his potential is high. I'm sure numerous GMs are going to contact L.A. in hopes of getting a steal.

It all depends on how badly the locker room problem truly is. And they're claiming Nick Young has forgiven him (who knows?). If there's friction someone's traded. If it's settled Russell (and everyone else) will likely not be moved.
 
Yeah but we will see if Ziggy is accepting of the apology. That might be a problem for Swaggy P and then the problem really gets biggers.
 
The situation is getting way overblown. Not that it wasn't a super dumb thing to do, but people will forget about it.

Pretty much this... Mitch doesn't strike me as a dumb GM... That Buss kid is an idiot though, so on the off chance they would move him I'd place a call.

It does kind of show where Russell is mentally and long run may be a good humbling experience for him.
 
I didn't see the video so I don't know exactly what happened or how Young was acting, but I find it interesting that Russell is a bigger badguy than the guy that is openly talking about cheating on his wife/girlfriend. If young is remorseful than that's one thing, but if he was bragging about it he's a slimeball and I'm glad he got caught.
 
I'm telling you guys, in a new system Burke would be an astonishing offensive weapon. It's fair to judge him now since he has not met expectations but with a new club he will surprise you.
