The only way u learn is when u play. He doesn't play enough to get a chance to learn. I don't disagree with u on some points. why don't we just play him 30 mins. Sure he'll make mistakes that's only way he'll learn. We playing Rubio over 30mins a night and we still lose all the time. So even if we lose by playing Dante it's no different to playing Rubio

I think he has a decent basketball IQ but he simply offers no threat to score so teams can just sag off and take him out of the offense. When the defense can sag that allows teams to clog up the other 4 players. Same with Rubio.

Exum has 0 star potential.

His potential is an OK starter if he ever develops a decent spot-up 3.

this is right. his ceiling shaun livingston. different kind of player, but about that good, that impactful. a good rotation wing who can help a really good team. but yeah, only the delusional would think he can be a star, at this point.

He has good one-on-one IQ, good moves, footwork, and drive and dish game, but does not understand the game beyond this. He is worthless when the ball is not in his hands and is worthless when the guy he is defending is not involved in the play. He cannot see things a step ahead, see plays develop, make reads and react accordingly. He has good scoring instincts but no scoring skills. He has a good feel in the post for a guard imo, but he’s relatively weak as hell, can’t shoot, and would never get much space to operate there on this team anyhow.
Rubio understands the game much better, is better, and plays more as a result.
