Dante Exum declares for 2014 NBA Draft

If we ended up getting Exum in the draft to add with our other core pieces, I'd be ecstatic! Even if we traded both our 1st round pics and our second rounder to get him.

I'd feel the same about Wiggins, Parker, and Embiid too. No one else in the draft is worth that much though.

I wasn't too high on him. But I support international players like Wiggins and Exum because it's an impossible-to-become-true dream for most of them. Except for Enes. He was pumped for this thing since the start so we can easily say he is not what he should be so far.

He has biggest bust potential for me from all top 10 prospects. Would hate seeing Jazz waste a pick on him.

Talent wise where would you put Exum compared to Hayward?

He reminds me more of Burks than Hayward. Maybe you can call him Burks with Hayward's head on his shoulders (he seems to know where to be and how to get there). He has better hesitation moves than Burks. Fast and long first step in either direction. Improving shot, but definitely an attacker first and foremost.

This.

Start him next to Hayward and Burke. Burks off the bench. Perfect.

Some folks will tell you thay we cant do thay cause hayward is not a small forward and thats why burks cant start.

Im not one of those folks though.

But i say start burks (he would be the vet of the two after all) and make exum earn his minutes lol

I like having Burks with the ball in his hand though. So having him with Hayward AND Burke, to me isn't very productive.

What i noticed about last nights jazz game: the starting lineup has a defensive specialist (favors) two vet floor spreaders that do little else (marv and jeffy) another floor spreader that can do a little of everything and is a nice glue guy (hayward) and a solid and steady point guard (burke).

Seems to me that what the starting lineup is lacking is a pure go to scorer.... i think burks is the closest thing we have to that. I think he would fit perfectly in the starting lineup as the #1 option go to scorer and everyone else could focus on the roles that they were meant to do.

Jefferson and marvin are redundant imo

Hayward needs to play a rich-man's RJ role, and we need to ADD a true number 1 option to fit in Hay's current spot (and who can ALSO hit a three). That doesn't describe Burks, IMO. I wanna see much better 3 point shooting and defense.

I like Burks a lot, though. You know that. I'd like to see him start just for curiosity's sake, but I'm guessing the bench is a good spot for him right now.

Ya i would like to see him start and be the number one option just as an experiment.
Probably couldnt hack it but maybe he would surprise everyone and thrive in that situation and end up being similar to dwayne wade, who was an even worse 3 point shooter than alec.
I know its very unlikely though

The video is impressive, but he isn't playing against anyone. I saw a video of Rudy Gay that made him look like superman. He is a very risky pick, but could pay off.

If you scroll down a bit, they have a great video of him. Worth a watch, for sure.

Also, I made a bet with someone on here that Exum would declare for the draft instead of going to college. I want to say it was Tony? Whoever it was, time to pay up.

Bleacher Report? I expected better from you, Spy haha
