A few things that I noticed when putting together the numbers from these two players. . .
Kobe's shot 41% consistently, but his 3pt% went down as he started shooting more. Dante's FG% is nearly identical, even though he started out pretty rough from 3pt%, and he has improved as he's gotten more experience and playing time. Whatever Quin's plan for him is, he's improving as a shooter and has been pretty consistent. Kobe was really hot or cold as a rookie. He had multiple games early on with no points at all. Dante has scored in almost every game he's played in. I'm hoping that the plan is for him to drive more and finish, which should lead to more drive and dishes. I'm pretty happy with his assist rate so far, and think that it should improve as he assumes a bigger role later this year. I'd like to see him run more P&R too. I think that he'd be pretty excellent at it with any of Rudy, Favors or Hayward. The Jazz have the potential to have an incredibly solid Core group going forward if Exum takes some big steps forward over the next 2 and a half years. I don't expect much from him this year or next. . . but I think that by year three he's stronger, faster, smarter and more confident and aggressive. I expect him and Gobert to be looked at in the same manner as Durant and Westbrook. Guys who you can build a team around. The only question is what to do with Hayward at that point.
