Ya, but I'm not a big Exum believer, and I don't mind this deal. Unless there's someone here who simply wants Exum gone, I don't think anyone will be too unhappy with the deal. Pretty much mid-level contract.

Fair deal. I thought he'd get about $30M. Jazz take care of their own. That's part of the culture. Either he takes off and it's a bargain, or not, and it doesn't hurt us much.
If he can make his 3s, he's an immediate 3/D wing. If his off the dribble ever develops, he's much more.

I had the over/under at 3/24... if we got a team option on the final year the extra couple million makes 100% sense. If not I think its a tad high, but nothing to snivel about... they likely didn't want him hanging out there forever.

This definitely signifies they are pretty much done in free agency outside of minimum type deals. I dont expect them to use the full MLE and dip into the tax.
I'd expect at least one of Jonas or Udoh to be waived an Utah to sign Niang, Bjelica, or some guy who isnt in the NBA (like Royce last year).

I like the deal. I had no clue what he was going to get but this seems fair. I don't care if the 3rd year is a team option.
