Dante Exum re-signed

So we have somewhere in between 17M and 40M in cap space next year depending on if we waive Rubio's caphold.

I'm not sure both Exum and Rubio are in the long term plans if we are also planning on signing a marquee/high level free agent... I think it is most likely that we try like hell to get Harris or another target at the trade deadline.

I think all the significant moves are done... One of Udoh or Jonas is going to get waived and replaced with a minimum contract flier (a Royce O'Neale type).

The FO has garnered a lot of goodwill this offseason. Drafting Mitchell's choice, Favors, keeping the beautiful one, the recently injured Dante and Seph... the dynamic should be good for everyone to feel appreciated.

The number really only affects if we use our MLE this year, which may never have been the plan. So a couple million is fine one way or another... If you hate the deal at 11 per... you'd hate it at 8 or 9 too.

After seeing how much we gave Exum and Favors, I'm now kind of scared to see how much we'll give Rubio next year.

If we're paying Dante $33 million based on potential, I have some doubts about the Jazz's desire to sign Rubio to an unfavorable contract.

Favs deal makes a lot of sense to me and I think having Dante come back is the right thing to do but I am in the camp that we overpaid on this one. I am curious what else was out there for Dante though I am sure the Jazz knew what it was and took it into account. I am guessing JJ is gone.

This is insane, imo, and I apologize to whomever it was I mocked for saying Exum would get $12M. The Jazz are really doubling down on the whole Exum as a legit prospect/cornerstone thing. Hope I'm wrong, but I disagree.

Did you even watch Dante when he came back?
