What's new

Dante has been out forever because he ded

Is Dante the punishment we get for having Stockton only missing like 30 games in 19 seasons?

I mean our entire team has had a lot of injury problems over the last few years. We have an injury plagued team. We have 3 PGs that have not been healthy ever. Our starting PG the last 2 years in the playoffs have gone done in Rubio and Hill. Favors is looking healthy now but basically missed 3 years to injuries and probably cant play more than 25 min per game in a season. Gobert's injuries have been pretty bad timing. Mitchell was hurt for half of this season from an injury that held him out of the final quarter of the playoff game we could have won. Thabo is barely alive but thats more expected.

Gonna reiterate that being actually injury prone is in practice virtually the same thing as just being a weenie.

That being said, I have a very hard time believing someone this physically fragile made it to the point of being a high draft pick at the highest level of competition.
How did he play 82 games his rookie year

He missed 18 games in one season, and 4 games in another season and played every game in the other 17 seasons. Lol. That’s just utter ridiculous and doesn’t happen, EVER!! Assuming my math is right he missed a total of 22 games.

I pretty much agree but I have to say, if Fav's can be held around that 25 minute mark he looks really good and thus far has remained healthy. Hope it continues. And as bad as I hated to see the Greek Freak take it to Rudy, maybe it's a good thing he did flop a bit. Far better than getting him injured. The down side is teams are beginning to figure out the best way to negate Gobert to any degree is to take it at him with a lot of force. I admit I didn't see much of the last N.O. game but a lot of what I read said Randall had good luck taking it right to Rudy.

I agree, Favors has been great this year. Statistically he is our 3rd best player according to advanced stats. But I would rank him behind Mitchell. But I think he is our 3rd best player. When we have 2 guards that can shoot he is great next to Gobert and he is elite as a backup Center.

This is why stats can be misleading. Our 3 most important players are Ingles, Gobert and Mitchell. I don't care what stat you find out there to prove otherwise, but those 3 are absolutely essential night in night out every night. Even if they are off, they create a threat which is so valuable.

Favors and Crowder are arguably 4th followed by Rubio, Korver, O'Neale, the rest.

Gobert is a monster, but with his length he does have some limitations. I really feel like Favors is a perfect match to take more minutes against certain opponents. I have thought for a long time that Favors is one of our most important pieces and he seems to get overlooked.

I agree stats can be misleading. But I'm this case I disagree. I think Ingles is great but this season so far favors is the better player.. But Ingles is a close 4th for me.

I would say Favors is probably our third best/most talented player overall bur for this specific team I think Ingles is our third most important player. He's played more minutes than anyone this season and always plays in crunch time when the games on the line. As good as Favors has been, with the exception of the Bucks game he never closes games. It's hard to say he's our third most important player when he's sitting on the bench during the most important part of every game.

My thoughts exactly. Good post.
