What's new

Dante has been out forever because he ded

a.But he's the same age as Grayson and between the two who do you think has more "potential"?
b.So, what makes you think Dante isnt getting stronger?? Have you never seen him defend a big in the post? Box out? Set picks?

a. I think right now Grayson has more potential than Exum. He is more athletic, weighs more , seems stronger, has a less herky jerky jump shop and can make offensive plays. He is obviously worse at defense right now than Exum and his actually shooting percentage has been poor but he has mostly been played in garbage time.... Joe Ingles also struggles with his shot when he first started with us. Allen is still a rookie and hasn't had 4 year worth of Jazz coaching. Then look at current pay vs potential growth.. Exum's performance doesn't really match his salary.

b. Look at the twigs he has for legs.

This is the biggest bull#### I've ever seen.

The Jazz seem to be pretty cautious with all injuries... graysons ankle was a longer absence than I would have thought.

It is one of the injuries that is easy to aggravate... if he needed to I’m guessing he’d play. No need to rush him back... Ricky is back DM is healthy and Royce has played well. I wish Ingles would sit a couple games... hopefully over the AS break he gets a little juice back.
I agree with not rushing people back, but they sure seemed not very cautious when favors hobbled around on old man knees 2 years ago. Where was the caution then? Or did they learn their lesson?

Is he just going to come back after the all-star break, take six weeks to get back into playing as he had been, be hot and cold (more this) in the playoffs, and then we’ll all be saying, “Next year is gonna be his year!” for like the fifth time in his career?

That’s where it feels like we’re headed. Yet again.
It's CJ Miles, aka "the next Jordan", syndrome of JF. People get inordinately high on a borderline player who has yet to tap their vast "potential", and they are just that one lucky break or big game away from earning their rightful spot as the mythical GOAT-to-be.

All the while we have a legitimate example of a borderline player actually tapping that potential, and becoming a true emerging generational talent, or did everyone forget that Rudy was a late-first-rounder who showed "flashes" but looked very raw with some obvious talent in one area, but by no stretch was viewed as a sure thing?

More often than not that is a result of steady improvement, and that "break-out" game or year is generally not all that surprising to those who have watched them work hard and steadily improve.

Any Exum update.

Not to give false hope; but The Jazz went back to Utah last night instead of going straight to Portland - they might be looking to get a practice in at their facility with Exum and/or Thabo before Wednesday. But that's 100% speculation.

What is your point? Tell me when they have ever been playing better this season.

When was the last time we had this easy of a schedule?

Our winning is a combo of an easy schedule and Mitchell playing healthy/better. Exum playing or not would not effect it much. People said Rubio being out was the reason but he came back and we are still playing well due to the fact the schedule eased up and Mitchell is ballin.
