I thought Dante was closer to out of the league than a 3 year deal. It's crazy he got more than the minimum. From what I understand his deal makes his contract extremely tradeable. It helps to match incoming money while the low gauranteed amount makes him easy to cut.

Its a great deal for the Rockets. Only 1 season guaranteed but you have him locked up for cheap for 3 years. If he plays a lot and does well he jumps up but not to a big number. If he stays healthy and plays decent its a good trade chip. Dante didnt have many teams wanting to take a chance on him. My guess is he got a few min contract offers for 1 year and that is it.
