Quick tangent:
Larry was also alot more hot-headed and impulsive during his early days as Jazz owner, while Checketts was more patient. I read a story about a time Larry was so ticked off after a bad Jazz road trip, that he called up Checketts after the game and told him to go meet the plane and fire Layden as soon as he stepped off, and that Larry would take over as head coach himself. Thankfully Checketts refused, Larry calmed down and that fiasco never occured.
