If this hubris weren't so sad, it would be funny. Do you have any idea what Locke's job description is? I'm quite confident it isn't "get very little sleep and spend a crap-load of time doing a daily podcast for Jazz-junkies to enjoy." The dude sacrifices a lot and goes above and beyond what is expected of him. Because of his efforts, he has introduced me to ideas, perspectives, and nuances that I would not have otherwise embraced. I really appreciate the time and energy he has devoted to the fans.

Isn't it sad that he's so bad at his job that he must work that hard to retain his job?

Locke is probably the country's worst play-by-play guy, and I really don't care about the meaningless homer stats he comes up with. I want the Jazz to hire a guy I can listen to on the ride home when they're on the east coast.

As to your infantile tantrum, it's easy to live in a virtual world, hence your recent comment about a "rebuild game." Grown-ups always know that in an actual world, nearly everything is harder to accomplish than one's desires or theory would dictate. Philosophers and gurus for the longest time have pointed out that the miserable person misses the beauty in the present moment based off of a longing for the past Golden Age or a future chimera. Good luck on your "BOYcott"!

No one's perfect and Locke like everyone makes mistakes. What I like about him is that he is passionate about what he does. The guy lives, eats, and loves what he does.

I really hate that Franklin is the only person who dislikes Locke in this thread. Between Locke's shrill voice, condescending 'know-it-all' tone, and lack of original material the guy is painful to listen to. I don't see why all of the Locke love.

Do you guys remember when Locke drew a cocknballs on the screen? Hilarious. He really makes Harping look like a champ.

Regarding the hack comments... Locke didn't say, "can I share your work with our fans?". He didn't say, "credit to ______ for doing providing this great analysis". He says, "I think (insert other's opinions and work here as if it was your own work)". He takes credit for it. He even told a guy he was going to 'steal' his information. He didn't ask. He said "steal". He is a hack. A shrill voiced, annoying pee-stained, cocknballs drawing, 'analyst' suck.

You've made it clear in your post that your disappointment level is a fantastic gauge for what improves this board and the Jazz-fan experience in general, i.e., anything Jazz related that disappoints you is more than likely worthwhile. Why do I keep responding to these types of posts?

I can't say I listen to him as much as you guys in Utah who can listen to him on the radio. I have only watched the podcasts during the season and don't know anything about him stealing information or crediting himself for other's ideas. But I don't know how you can compare him to Steve Brown; now that is a guy who is really clueless, though harmless as well. Locke is not clueless. He may be annoying to some but I like his enthusiasm; that's his job and he does it well. I don't get why some of you here are so critical of him and Harpring. You ever listen to some of the other home team broadcasters? They make Locke and Harping sound objective.

Locke sucks *** and it's easy to notice. He provides one sided stats. I don't if that's because he is a delusional homer or does it intentionally but his stats are often not to be taken serious.

I'm not that big a stats guy, though I know that analytics has become the new big thing in evaluating talent. That being said, if you're going to make a statement like this, then you should back it up with stats that actually show this.

Come on, franklin, you are starting to sound like a troll who throws out shi# they know to be untrue just to rile up a discussion. Locke is clearly not just working hard to keep his job....he has has a fire to be great, not just adequate. So even if you hate his output, you have to admire the grit.

I'm hoping you are not turning into a hater.
