This is as close of a prediction thread for the season as I can find. Looks like there are only a couple predictions. Looks like Wes just about nailed it. Although we had a **** ton of injuries and still hit that prediction. I dont think anyone would have guessed at this point we would win 50/51 wins had someone said how many injuries we would have this season. But Gobert and Hayward both took big steps forward this season and really carried the team.

Gobert had been somewhat inconsistent and I'm afraid that the other teams will have him scouted VERY well and will make great efforts to negate his defensive presence and exploit his offensive weaknesses. If all the stars perfectly align we might sniff 50. I still think 45-47 wins this season is our ceiling and will not be surprised to see injuries or chemistry issues drag us down a game or 2. So my estimate is still 45 but anywhere between 43 and 47 won't surprise me.

I guess having the most injuries in the NBA and only seeing our starting lineup for 13 games is the stars aligning.

But LogGrad98 already admitted he is happy he was wrong on that one. There is always room on the Jazz bandwagon. Drink some koolaid and eat a Churro!

It's ok. I don't mind being fodder for the weak-minded with fragile egos. And who wouldn't be happy to be wrong like that? I mean I missed it by a whole FOUR GAMES (hopefully 5). I wish I had been under by 20 games, that would have been EPIC. But I am very happy with 50+. Let's hope it hits 52.

Did he? Because all I see is a half-assed admittance that he was only a bit wrong but not really because he was super close...
 
IIRC my prediction was a pessimistic 51 wins.(Pats self on back)

I swung for the fences in WC prediction thread and blew it. (Spanks self on ***)

Why should I respond seriously to any posts about this when in reality I (like pretty much everyone else) was off by a few games, not a dozen, not a million, and am very happy to have been wrong. That is no lie. Why would it be? Does your whole life and the entirety of your self-esteem revolve around being right all the time? If so get ready for disappointment.

Hyperbole aside, the whole trolling aspect just ran its course about 3 months ago. Now it is just sad little people trying to build themselves up on...what exactly? I never once argued hard-core about it, I just presented my opinion with some supporting statements, and even modified my position when presented with other ideas. But since it was not with the prevailing public opinion it was somehow horrible and needed punishment for some reason. Seems my position was somewhat reasonable, compared to the crucifixion it seems people want. So crucify away.

Yep, I was wrong. I did not guess 52 games on the nose. Oh noes!
