Why would you hope that?I just hope we will FINALLY see Vando + Kessler on court.... cant be that bad... can it?

Yeah, not getting my hopes up too much. Lauri needs spacing for his curls and cuts to the middle, and all season Olynyk has been one of the few Jazz players providing it. Markkanen facing a set defense ready to collapse on him AND featuring Mobley & Allen as rim protectors sounds like a nightmare for him.Jazz are officially the worst team in the league when it comes to defending the paint and controlling the defensive glass. Not great news against a team that starts Mobley and Allen. Cavs are going to get a ton of second chance shots tonight is my guess. Hopefully Kessler can take another step tonight in his development.
Add in Donovan's motivation to play well against his former team and this is going to be a really difficult game. We really needed all hands on deck here. Having Sexton at least would've put more pressure on the basket. KO wouldn't help much defensively but having another big who can hit 3's may have moved someone like Mobley more out to the perimeter. Cavs main weakness is they don't have an NBA caliber SF on their roster. Maybe someone like Beasley can keep them in the game if he has a hot shooting night. Obviously JC and Lauri will also need to have good shooting games in order to win tonight too.
Not all is lost though. This team keeps surprising me but pulling this one out would be a fairly big upset. The Cavs are really good at home this season while the Jazz are 6-10 on the road after that loss in Milwuakee.
Either to get verification it doesnt work or hope that it might. Why would you hope that?
Wait... does this make Rudy Gay..... a starter?
Vando can't play the 4. You have to be able to space the floor in that role. Sure he can stand in the corner but his defender will be roaming somewhere else.
I can't believe he actually said he's thankful to the Mavs. If he hated being on the Jazz so badly that he's glad the Mavs beat us in the first-round last year so that he could be traded, then I'm definitely glad he's gone. No wonder he played so awful in that series, he most likely wasn't even trying.
