I’ve never experienced a Jazz team that lays down early until the game is comfortably out of reach like this one does. Mike Tyson talked about a game plan out the window with the first sustained punch to the mouth, but this team can’t even take a punch to the kisser; how many TKOs five minutes in is that now?

I mean the Donovan/Rudy post Clippers playoff disaster team wasn't that long ago. And that team wasn't starting rookies. Talk about teams that just lied down and took it. . .

I mean, this Jazz team has stayed in a lot of games. Their defense is just extremely bad so they cant survive 6 minutes stretches where they score 0 points.

Yes but that’s the whole point! I mean when has a Utah Jazz team ever been associated with el matador defense? This is just atrocious, all over the floor, but particularly interior D. Our three bigs, Nurk, Love and Hendricks not only lack lateral quickness, none can provide rim protection like we’ve always had and were once known for. And in what parallel universe is Jusif Nurkic even a starting center (.493 FT%) and Kevin Love even a back-up center in 2025/26 in the NBA. No question that Tshiebwe and Bamba who were epic in the Winter Showcase, would be doing a better job for us imo! But of course the FO had to clip our wings (the OKC protected) and trying desperately to rekindle Nurk and Love’s trade value for another shot at the draft.
