Yup, we could really be on our way. I think I have much more belief that we could hoist a trophy than I have since the late 90s. Way more. I never really thought we could get all the way before, even with the best Dwill memo boozer teams. But this team can/will compete with anyone. Add a few key pieces and Dante showing up and we will be a force.
 
To all the older fans, why werent the jazz more successful with Mark Eaton? You had Stockton, Malone, Thurl (young Lamar Odom clone), and the DPOY and we still couldnt make it to the finals? WTF?

Nobody really doubts whether the early-90s jazz underperformed

This (they did underperform)

And the competition was at its peak in the nba in early 90's (jordan, magic, bird, olijuwan, dexler, ewing, barkley, isiah, robinson, mullin, reggie, payton, etc etc etc)

Yea, so who was the sg on that team?

The corpse of Golden Griff and Bobby Hansen.

Also, John Stockton may be considered the greatest pg of all time, but he only received the distinction of the leagues best pg in 2 seasons. In truth, he got neutralized by bigger or faster guards....Gary Payton, Magic Johnson, Portland would switch drexler onto him, Phoenix attacked him with KJ's speed and Hornececks length. The Jazz's wimpy sg couldnt step up, until Hornaceck came here. That is also why I say that Dell Curry forcing his way out of town was the worst thing to ever happen to the Jazz. He was drafted in 86, he would have been in his prime at the same time as John and Karl.
