Dennis Lindsey's Comments on May 1st

So like a skilled politician, Dennis answered a question with many words and left his audience with less sure conclusions. Bravo, well played Mr. O'Lindsey.

I've never had a problem with how O'Connor or Lindsey handle these interviews (Layden was another matter). I DO get frustrated with radio personalities that ask the questions. They ask terrible questions. They're either too open-ended, or something that can't be answered publicly. Most of the time they just ask questions that fans couldn't care less about like "how hard is it to select the right person in the draft?" or "how important is character?"

One time someone (I think it was Locke) asked O'Connor "how close have you come to making a trade in the last month?" And O'Connor said "we had a player in for a physical". Wow! Anyway, I found it interesting, and it didn't reveal anything that couldn't be made public. And he never would have volunteered if Locke had just asked him about his Summer vacation to Europe.

I think Steve Brownie might be coming for your job. Evidence: the true boyish joy with which he reported on Hood's enduring problems... expressing himself both seriously and with puns. I, for one, was impressed with Brownie.
