Think about this too. Dante has the skill to absolutely blow by defenders, and be the man. That is not what I question. Does he
have the balls, drive, and courage to? Watch Schroeder driving to the hoop. Have we seen Dante do any of this? Can you picture Exum
finishing the way schroeder does?

Schroeder is nearly a full 2 years older than Exum. I can definitely see Exum driving to the rim and scoring in his future, and possibly in a more impressive way than Dennis because he has the size to finish at/above the rim and be less bothered by length.
 
Unless we play LA and and am undermanned Denver team every night, making the playoffs is going to be a major challenge with our current pg situation. Burk and Hood for Dennis. I like it for this year, and would be thrilled to see him play next to Exum, with Neto as the backup.

If Burk has turned the corner then yeah, it's a crazy trade. But if it's the same career backup Burk, you'd have to overpay to upgrade the position. And as great as the flashes we've seen from Hood are, he's not a future star. Unless we're waiting for the return of Donte next season, and we're not going to make a serious playoff push, an upgrade is needed now. But the cake is baked imo. We know who we are, more or less. It can be time to exchange some of these assets for a position of need.

First I want to see what we've got and what sort of a winning pace we are on this year. That will take 20 games at least. At that point I wouldn't mind trading for DS if Burke hasn't improved significantly, but no way am I throwing Hood into the deal. I believe he should be our starting SG with Burks as 6th man. The value of our assets is that we have the ability to fill a hole without creating a different one.

Atlanta doesn't seem to be in a rush, if at all to trade DS anyway, but if Burk isn't the answer you would need to give up a piece, to get one back. Hood's stats aren't noticeably better, if at all than Schroeder's.

You are offering Burke and Hood, not just Hood. If Burke's improvement is legit (which nobody yet knows for sure) then Atlanta will have worked us on that trade.

I agree, and I said as much in am earlier reply. But if Burk doesn't improve to the level of a starting pg on a playoff competing team, then I think you take a chance on getting Schroeder. Atlanta would want a replacement at backup pg (Burk). Add Hood and roll.
