Harold Ballz showed up to this thread - not to cast stones at KJ, but at the users responding to the story - precisely the mindset I'm talking about.. (how Athlete's get a pass here) He even felt the need to bring up Karl Malone, and how he's cool with that story too! (I have a list of questions if your cool with that story too. but that's for another thread, another time)
As a 27 year old male, living in NY I can tell you on MANY occasions I've talked to chicks in bars, that were infact under-age and had fake I.D.'s (some of them have brought it up as conversation - cuz they don't have **** else to talk about). Maybe its different for others, I'm hyper-aware, I can always tell though.. ALWAYS, their too impressionable(and girls in their 20's in NYC are usually quite smart). These chicks can't fool me, and I'm just some random dude.
Such an asinine thing to say(Do you read the news?!). As someone who's been plugged into the news feeds and police blotters for over 10 years now, I can say that's candidly false, and can cite examples. It doesn't work.

As far as I'm concerned they should tar and feather these adults involved with teenagers. You could never convince me that the average teenager isn't still way too impressionable at that age, to really make a good informed decision for themselves. Especially if said teenager is drinking or on some sort of drug.
I can't wrap my mind around why any male has to resort to the alleged tactics of KJ. Go to some country where that's legal if that's how you prefer to get by.. Do that here in the USA and you deserve all the trouble that follows.
Let's not forget, we're talking about the current mayor of Sacramento.. The media has placed this man on a pedestal for quite some time.

it's not just the worship of the athlete-god, but also any celebrity or person of wealth or power (whether real or presumed) - - all of them too frequently get a "bye" as far as that goes
part of that is the "boys will be boys" mentality - colored somewhat by the "all girls who have sexual relations outside of marriage are sluts" mentality (which, in my honest opinion, also colors the opinions of some on the anti-abortion side of that discussion)

With all the War, Disease, Famine, Death, Poverty, Destruction, Hunger, Corruption, Filth and Torture in the world today. You'd think obvious social issues like these would've been settled long ago.
The powers that be, must want this simpleton **** to continue.
There's seemingly little to no progress in these areas in my almost 30 years on this planet.. Which is why I stay home on election day.
Horror stories like this one happen every single day, They just usually don't involve a hall of fame finalist, or the Mayor of Sacramento.
Chicks are out here bending the rules they can too, malicious gold-diggers(They commonly target NBA players).. trying to abuse these divorce laws. Not saying thats on-par whatsoever - just citing more examples of the broken system in place.

OK, I just did and holy ****! it was exactly what I thought it was.
So he was 18? 19? Maybe 20? 5-7 year difference is not uncommon today or even back then. My dad is eight years older than my mom and she had my brother when she was 15. Thank God my dad didn't get thrown in jail because who knows what would of happened to him, my mom, my brother, hell I wouldn't even be here. He was in love with my mom and she was in love with him. Oooooh, at age 14... I'm sorry but I give more credit to people than you do. I know plenty of girls that are 13 that know more about sex than some of my buddies do. My sister is 14 and has had the same BF for almost three years. I don't know if they have sex and I don't want to know, but if they are, I guaranatee that its consensual.
Yes they do, and I personally don't care. If it's a real case of rape, not this statutory bull **** then I care but not until then. Punching girls in elevators, DUI's, drive bys at clubs, etc. is far more important than this stupid ****.

So congrats to your parents for sticking together, Ballz. I knew a 15 yr old in HS that got pregnant by a 23-yr old. She felt pretty mature running around telling everyone she was dating a college man. And then when she got pregnant, it was a completely different story - it absolutely devastated her life. Malone COMPLETELY abandoned that girl. Not one iota of child support, even when he signed a pro contract.
The fact that you know 13-yr old girls with lots of knowledge, does not give them maturity. And it doesn't make it right for an adult to have sex with them. Your sister has had a boyfriend since the age of 11? What the hell is wrong with your parents? At least if he is the same age and they are having sex, it is not a crime.
Like it or not, sex with a minor is illegal. That is the law. Your father committed a crime. He was 22 and your mom was 14. Believe me, if that was my daughter, he'd be facing prosecution after I had slammed him against the wall several times. And not a jury in the US would convict me. Whether he was prosecuted or not, he is a rapist. But at least he faced and assumed the consequences of his actions.
