Did Reagan kill small business?

Her views are probably most in line with the libertarian party, who ain't running **** right now

Who finances the libertarian party? Google Koch bros.

Their entire agenda is focused on raiding the middle-class. They are modern day robber barons from the gilded age

I am very familiar with the libertarian party. You obviously are not.

Calling the 2 equal is like proclaiming the Jazz and knicks equal disasters.

Democrats don't completely and blatantly attack the middle/lower classes to provide to their corporate masters.

Republicans don't give a rip right now about anyone other than their corporate masters. Their war on food stamps while passing agricultural subsidies is a perfect example of this.

But aren't democrats doing a lot of the same things with welfare, food stamps, student loans, etc?

I am a slave to my student loans. I HAVE to make over $120,000 just to stay alive. If I make $120,000, after I pay taxes and my student loans, I have about $43,000 to live on. Quite the extravagent Dr's life. When I worked in North Philly, I had patients that their grandparents had gotten on welfare, their parents had lived off welfare, and now they were doing the exact same thing. Three generations that had never worked a day in their lives or filed a tax return. And this was COMMON.

Why is it Republicans are thrown under the bus for "providing for their corporate masters" when the more liberal school system is raising costs who knows how many times faster than inflation, and unions are getting top heavy and "providing for their [union] masters" instead of protecting their workforce?

They are DOING THE SAME THING.

Until we can get past these talking points and really try to find answers, we are screwed. Throwing out blanket Republicans only serve corporations, and Democrats just want to kill the free market won't get us anywhere.

Obamacare will kill small businesses just as fast as any republican policies. One part of Obamacare is a 2.5% medical device tax. This is a tax on REVENUE, not profit. So, if you own a medical device lab, and your profit margin is 5%, you just got a 50% tax. You just lost 50% of your income because of Obamacare. So, NO, this is not a left vs right thing. This is a nobody wants to listen and find middle ground thing.

No she did not think using government for your own greedy purposes was acceptable.

Ever read atlas shrugged?

It's all about the worshipping of "job creators." How dare we bother "job creators" to pay livable wages. It's exactly what we see today. Whether you're a Walmart employee being told that you're not valuable or an accountant being told that your company might downsize or a public school teacher here in Utah being told that you should just shut up and be grateful for your 30k per year.

It's not right. We should all be living far better than what we are. Had we followed the same policies we had in place, min wage would be nearly double what it is today and all of us would be better off . Job creators would still be making a lot of money. Their incentive would still be there. The difference is, if anything, they'd be producing more stuff because the masses would have more wealth to kick around for consumption.

Ayn Rand would be against both food stamps and agricultural subsidies. If you were familiar with her you would realize that she like yourself would be more critical of agricultural subsidies because she would see them as a gross manipulation of the market.

How does Obamacare kill small businesses? Any business that will receive the fine for not providing health insurance isn't a small business. What's the cutoff? 25? 50 employees? 100? Yeah, a business with 25-100 employees isn't what I'd call "small."

Besides, there are so many deductions and loopholes... The issue with the ACA isn't what it does to business. The issue is getting young people signed on and how to better control (and lower) medical costs overall. As long as you still have a lot of young irresponsible adults who refuse to become covered and illegals running to ERs and insurance companies looking for profit, it's gonna be tough to get our medical costs under control.

And how exactly are democrats raiding the middle class to funnel monies to their corporate masters via good stamps and student loans? I want examples.

Can't a lot of the blame, especially for teachers, be blamed on the unions? They are supposed to represent the teachers. Yet, the union leaders are getting paid a lot more than 30K, but the teachers aren't.

Again, it's not the right's fault that the union leaders sold out the teachers.

No. In Atlas Shrugged she worships the free enterprising individual. When the GOP speaks of "job creators" they usually have some scheme to tilt the game in their favor. Her problem would be they are no longer free enterprising individuals but recipients of preferential treatment.

Go re-read my post. The medical device tax will KILL small labs. Can you imagine losing half your income due to a tax? What do you do then? You SELL to a larger company, who can absorb the tax, and become an employee...

Which takes me back to my original question. We are KILLING small businesses. And it isn't a left vs right thing. BOTH SIDES ARE DOING IT. Do you think a small physician's office can keep up with all the new laws and regulations that come with Obamacare? What about the small, independent DR, who now has to completely upgrade his technology to satisfy Obamacare? Where is this guy supposed to come up with the 10's of thousands of dollars (sometimes hundreds of thousands of dollars) to pay for this? And guess what? He CAN'T raise his prices, because prices are set by Medicare and insurance companies. So, this guys expenses just rose, and he can't do anything about it but lose income.

And guess what? 99% of Dr's aren't willing to be Dr's for $40,000 a year. If they wanted to change the world for that much money, they would have been teachers and been halfway to a retirement pension by the time they would have graduated from all of their medical training.

So, what does that small practice Dr do? He sells his practice to a larger group. The larger group can absorb the costs, fire most of the employees, and boom. We are back to monopolies. Small business is dead.

Both sides are doing it.

I think unions are a natural and important part of free markets. The problem is that unions have become part of a political power struggle. In some states they are given preferential treatment over the employer and in others they are given subordinate power. I believe that unions and employers should work it out amongst themselves.(this would more often than not be to the benefit of the worker)

Thriller, you obviously didn't read my post. You see Obamacare, and food stamps, and student loans and started regurgitating the talking points.

Go, re-read my posts. I answered all your questions in my first post.

No. That's not the issue with education at all. Anyone know how much teachers union leaders make and how many there actually are? The answer may surprise you. Of course, rush and focnews never expect you to look this sort of thing up.

I read it and it didn't make any sense. Sorry.

Doctors only earning 40k per year? Lol ummmm no.

Oh come on. You really don't think green listens to Rush do you?

SO SHOW ME. Goodness gracious. Do you realize you are just as bad as Rush and Hannity and whoever? You are the same as them. I am asking to be educated. Educate me. Don't regurgitate what you heard on MSNBC and CNN (see, I can do that too).

Show me how many union leaders are here in Utah and what they are making. Then show me what the teachers are making. And if you are correct, the union leader's salary will be very much in line with the teacher's salary and not 2-5 times more.

Become?

Sense when haven't they been a part of the political struggle?

You do realize that union power and influence is at a 100 year low, right? Like it's been declining for the past 30 years while republicans have acted like union power has surged.

Interesting.... Our economic decline, abandonment of common sense economic policy, and raiding of the middle class for the benefit of the top coincides with the decline of the union... Interesting. I'm sure that is just coincidence, right?
